It shouldn't be relevant at this point in time, sure we might spend a lot but we do want to rebuild and sell other players too.

I actually saw Sky Italy reporting that Newcastle is interested in Jorginho right now so if we manage to sell him in January the difference of the fee spent on Enzo would get lower, and we should expect a lot of departures in the summer as well.

Would be a fantastic signing, but not at the price quoted.

It's also a very promising early sign for his ability to attract players if he's convinced Nkunku and got both Enzo and Gvardiol even considering.

Yeah this is the only outcome I can see happening if this deal does materialize. 

Pay the fee now, installments and higher than the release clause, and secure him for the summer. 

Please don't take my word for it, but apparently this is a tier 1 source from Argentina.

“Chelsea have representatives in Benfica. Fee being negotiated around €105m base, €20m performance related add ons. Strong relationship between clubs already.

Enzo keen on move, but anything can change, e.g. if Madrid feel change in Bellingham situation.

Real could ask Benfica/ Enzo to wait until summer, as they often do with transfers.

Benfica want to make sure bulk of fee is a base fee & smaller portion is add ons. Issue is not necessarily about fee being paid all at once.

Sounds like if we want him, we need to get it done this window, even if we loan him back/joins us in the summer. If we want, everyone else will come.
