Sooner or later the Clubs in Spain, Italy, France and UK are pushing for it cause they get in Trouble in Terms of Money when they can't qualify for CL. The only outcome, a Super League. 

They just look at USA what NHL, American Football or Basketball has as revenue and Market Situation . 

Not only that just imagine they throw the Idea on the Table of All Star Team UK vs All Star Team Spain etc. 

These things are in starting positions. 

No chance English clubs sign up again in my opinion. They all signed a document last time saying that if they tried it again they'd get a 30 point deduction and a £30m fine. Plus with the backlash last time they'd be wise not to cross that line again.

This has purely come back again because Barcelona, Madrid and Juventus can't compete with the top English sides financially anymore, and they basically want a quick way to guarantee income. 

The rest of Europe had to sit and watch when Madrid and Barca were hoovering up the best players in the world, now that's not happening anymore they're crying that they can't compete with English sides financially. Tough. Let's not forget that Madrid recently offered in excess of €120m for Mbappe when he had 6 months left on his contract at PSG... 

Reichart says the new ESL would contain 60 to 80 teams, each guaranteed a minimum of 14 matches per season and continue to play in their domestic leagues. A22 did not provide more specifics on the format.

Let's just be clear what this is. It's a replacement for the champions league. It's not a replacement for the premier league. 

But I really just wish we'd stop cramming more football in. Minimum 14 games! Jesus Christ. 

We're already in two super leagues in all but name.

After the way both Uefa and the FA dealt with us with the sanctions they can go whistle far as I am concerned.

I don't know how the premier league teams benefit from this. It's essentially the skint big clubs riding the financial coat tails of our league.

I was listening to Talksport debating this, this morning. There is a doubt that we would be invited. Apparently it will go before the EU courts to see if this is legal and if so clubs from the 27 member states would be invited.

Sorry, for Chelsea fans it’ll be later because we’ll be busy with yet another cup final. 

German clubs declined Super League first time round and that was before any ‘backlash’. PSG are now in bed with UEFA even on the board itself. So that’s France & Germany out. Premier League clubs signed away their rights to breakaway, well at least effectively anyway.

Therefore at present, this “Super League’ is actually just Spain & Italy.

I imagine the teams that sign up for this will drop out of the Champions League

The timing of this is also interesting, just on the back end of all the mess going on at City. If city end up getting relegated or a point deduction, I'd imagine they will sign onto this quickly.

We don't need to replace it and I'm not an advocate for the Super League but the CL is going to be broken very soon with the extra fixtures. 

I'm not against it if it's well thought out and it's not a closed league system.

UEFA are corrupt pricks and aren't the saviours of European football.

Not chance any PL team touches this again CL is fine.

Yes but it's still 14 games, probably 17 or even 19 for the finalists. 

Add 38 PL games, 3-6 FA Cup and 3-6 league cup and you suddenly end up with nearly 70 games being played.
