The midfield was particular embarrassing, considering we played 3 of our best ( at a combined price tag of 150M+), and get over run by Jorginho and Xhaka. Nobody was tracking Odegard for the first goal ( and second), absolutely ridiculous in terms of effort and decision making.

When this season ends, whoever doesn't want be here next season should be allowed to go ( pending FFP and take cut ). Half of the players didn't want be there last night, next manager has little chance with the way it is. Ziyech 🤫, what the hell did we do not letting him on deadline day?

For me that was the biggest problem all night, was the same against Brighton.

He isn’t the problem in midfield though, it’s the other 2 senior players that he is paired with that have zero positional discipline. There were moments in the game when Kovacic & Kante were simultaneously leading the press which shouldn’t be happening. Arsenal were bypassing our midfield throughout the first half. For me as good as Kante has been since returning from injury, he just doesn’t work with Enzo. Long term I am not convinced Kante + Enzo + a DM would work.

We were never really in contention from the start. When they scored their third goal,I was actually fearing we’d go down by six or seven. How far we have fallen, sadly,.

We all know we really do need a clear out of players.

Looking back and it’s been said I don’t know how many times.  What were  they thinking of getting rid of Tuchel? It’s still far beyond me that decision.

Funnily enough when the third went in my mind went back to the 7-0 drumming Nottingham Forest gave us one year where it seemed every time we gave them the ball they scored.

I’d forgotten about the Forest 7-0. I know what you mean. I was actually glad it got to half time last night at ‘only’ 3-0. Sums up many things that statement, sadly!

Yet another shocking defeat. We are not fools, there is something badly wrong at our Club. Are these defeats, deliberate acts on the part of the players, who are voting with their feet? Sorry but Todd Boehly, the Board and Clearlake, this is on you. I have NEVER seen a top level, top quality football club fall from grace (implode) so quickly and so totally. I pray that Chelsea FC Management and employees do read this forum and talk openly about the comments of life long fans, like me, who have spent thousands of £ pounds, watching, following and travelling round the Globe for this Club.  I will go as far as to say, we will not take another single point this season. Something toxic has taken over this Squad and we are probably going to avoid relegation, only because of the points Tuchel and to be fair Potter gained early on as well as there being so many other very poor sides in the Premier League this season.

Just ride the season out. Fresh start in summer, it’s not a good time to hire Pochettino right now.

After watching that sh*te last night, he has probably changed his mind about the job anyway 🙄

Thinking back now. The decision to sack Tuchel isn't as bad as it seems. I believe had we kept him, we still miss out on top 4 and come short in the Champions league but still make the same terrible signings. He's also responsible for the last 3 awful windows where we are stuck with absolute dross. Where would we be now with Tuchel? Top half and still feeling the pain of missing out on top 4. At least now I've lost all hope that we are at rock bottom. Good managers can be replaced but awfully built expensive squads is a much harder task.

Lamp plan was to defend in 442 hence you see Kante pressing very high. This is normal stuff.

it is up to Enzo and kova to defend the midfield.

Kova head has been gone for a while, I have no idea why he kept being selected.

Btw enzo is a problem defensively.

Just in case you read this forum... there's a job going at Sky Sports Frank.

He might just about be able to do that one 🙄

Logic tells me that maybe the real problem now, is most players want to leave...

How do you get on the leaving list -> don't try and play shyte

How do you get on the staying list -> try hard and play well

Number of players trying and playing well = Kepa - 1

Number of players not trying and playing shyte = Assuming Madueke's goal was a mistake - 15 others as it wouldn't be fair to count the subs who didn't get on.

Why do the player's want to leave - who wants to stay at a club going nowhere under crappy management who don't know what they're doing?

Whilst this is a bit blunt, it is actually not far from the truth. I have posted on here that the players are "voting with their feet" I surmise that they are sick of the Managerial sackings and appointments, lack of consistency, poor coaching, huge squad, lack of game time etc etc

Well Kovacic has & would never play a restrained role in Midfield, he started his career as a “10”. The bigger problem with Kante is he has always thrived in counter attacking team where he has the freedom to go put out fires all over the pitch with a DM sitting. In our possession based system he loses the ball ( lost possession 13 times in 65mins which is awful) as much as De Bruyne & Bruno who are playmakers, creates way less big chances, and makes way less key passes. The reason why De Bruyne & Bruno lose possession so much is they are way more adventurous in their passing & play lots of long balls which Kante can’t.
We either need to switch to a counter attacking style of football, or play a heavy metal style of football or we will keep struggling with him in the middle of the park.

They said on the radio last night that Frank had won 3 of his last 27 games as manager at both Everton and Chelsea.  I can't verify that but it sounds about right.  We are a broken club at the moment much to everyone else's amusement.  Like everyone else, I feel humiliated.  Everything the new owners have done has turned to dust.  Spending a king's ransom on second-rate players we didn't need and not buying those we did.  Sacking everyone with experience and appointing the wrong people to replace them.  Let's face it, we've been in decline since 2017 when we last won the league.  In the intervening six years we haven't come within a country mile of winning it again and, if memory serves me right, we have lost five domestic cup finals on the bounce.  Porto 2021 was a glorious freak which papered over the cracks.  Six games in the knockout rounds played in empty grounds but a final that will live in my mind forever.  I was lucky enough to be there and I will treasure those memories until I draw my last breath.  I just hope we cling on and get this rotten season over then hope for an upturn under an new manager who knows what he's doing.  Sadly, Frank doesn't.  Up the Blues!

No, he isn't the problem, but he was never the solution either. Legend of a player, car crash of a Manager

People keeping saying he's a terrible manager, but that same guy helped us get top four when we had a transfer ban and no hazard, as well as integrating the youth.

I don't believe he is solely the issue here or close to it, the players mentality is sh*t and has been most of this season. We had the same problem under Mourinho and he was an elite coach with far better players in the team.

There seems to be a running theme at Chelsea. We are the only so called "top club" that has been near the relegation zone in the last 10 seasons. That isn't normal for a club like Chelsea, especially not in the last 20+ years.

None of this is about restrained role. It is purely about defending. When you play in double pivot you have to move side to side constantly to cover ground.

Kante was our key player under Sarri and tuchel who both played possession football. So that is not a problem.

Honestly, our problem against arsenal was asking Kante to press,it is more important for him to protect midfield We should have played Gallagher instead of Kova (our only option) and ask Gallagher to play Kante role so Kante can sit deeper, similar to what he did against Madrid 2nd leg.

We hit a new low last night, no professional pride was very evident in a lot of players.

What for me is very telling is when certain players are being interviewed they tend to talk about how they “like living in London”.

It’s not about “progressing with Chelsea” or even “the project” or any kind of similar buzzwords.

It’s obvious with some players that they don’t give 2 hoots about the club.

For example, PEA was so bad I was actually looking forward to Kai replacing him.

The only way is up I suppose…
