Would you notice any difference, other than the smile?

One is a hard-working blond misfit who scampers up and down the wing but can't really kick a ball. The other is all of those things apart from the hard-working part... and we can probably substitute 'scampering' for 'loafing'.

Jackson in perspective.

19 league goals / 9 assists in 39 games. His goal contribution per game is better than...

Fernando Torres 110 league games 23 goals.

Werner/ Crespo/ Batshuyai 25 goals.

Morata 23 goals. Sturridge, Stein et all.

Most likely overtake Havertz and Abraham's numbers us this this season, he's 21 goals behind the legend that is Vialli... Want to see Wacko shave his head and grow a goatee when he passes his goals for us tally.

Keep being sad sacks and hating on a chelsea player ffs.

Same goofy dudes that hate on players for no reason just picked another one, it's something that should be diagnosed. Later on they will tell you that all he did was due to playing with Palmer or something stupid like that...

Same expected goals as Haaland right now, nobody can prove that he isn't one of the best poachers in the league right now.

Man that smiley is a throwback. Loved the fat arsed moany sod, nothing better than a striker who plays angry. And boy did he play angry.

I am genuinely baffled by some of our posters.

You can point to stats, argue that he is the 2nd coming behind only Jesus/Allah/Buddah/The Easter bunny....

But I ask 1 question....

....have you actually watched him?

HE IS RUBBISH.

Ditto, some of us are baffled by yours, not me, I know why...lol

I have watched him, I've only missed one game this season, and half of another. He's not rubbish, and unfortunately you won't see that until you stop the "irrational" part you mentioned previously.

Even the eye test shows he isn't rubbish and has improved on last season, but stats don't lie. Yes, stats can be interpreted in several ways but not when you can see it on screen too.

Also, just to show that i agree with you that it really is irrational, nkunku wasn't half as influential against panathinacos as Jackson is against a Premier league team.

I'll leave it to someone else to do the comparison of panathinacos and how "rubbish" they are compared to a pl team. I'm sure that excuse would have been used if it was Jackson; I.e. "he was rubbish against 3/5/6th team in a third rate league" or something like that. I hate that personally but I can see it posted about Jackson if it was the other way round.

Wacko...he's 22, 2nd season in the fastest and roughest league in a brand new country. His learning curve is rising steadily and he's one of ours! Think it's time to get behind our kid mate..

Oh, I want to add that I actually don't think he's finished with his fk ups or mistakes yet. Still a lot more to learn for him but he is learning and made less of the usual mistakes he did last season. He's still raw and like a diamond it takes several sessions of polishing/buffing to get it perfect mate. He may not even get there but he's on the right path.

"A toddler doesn't fall only once on the way to learning to walk"

But Jackson has shown enough that he is willing to learn and try and be the best he can be. Never puts his head down and is really passionate but he's also very goofy, lol.

Give me someone that fails the eye test but keeps putting the goal tally running over players that dazzle and shine with no output.

Some have criticised other players we currently have in the team for exact same reason. They are fancy, they have skill, they want to be flashy but no output but then in the same vein they'll castigate another player for the exact opposite.  And it's not even factually true as he does more than score. His hold up and link up play is amongst the best in forward line and he doesn't have one trait which a few members of the forward players have that I can't stand. Selfish.

Agendas and all. It's not only ridiculous, it should necessitate a psych evaluation.

Besides Haaland, what striker actually gets 20 league goals a season not including penalties?

A decent striker with the chances we create, would score loads more...... But he still has time, although I don't think he has a footballing brain

The twat has no brain - let alone a footballing one.

Edit - let's hope he costs me £30 with a hatrick today.

Can be frustrating at times, but he is definitely on a positive trajectory and only going to get better.

IMHO a good investment for the money spent on him. Just think that United have spent 110M on two lamp posts (Hojlund and Zirkzee). Jackson looks like R9 in his prime compared to those absolute duds.

Not today Jim, not today.

Honestly, Jim I am sure you do some of this for banter but just accept you are wrong. Especially when you call him "rubbish". Thought he was brilliant today. Caused problems to Newcastle's defence and ran them ragged. Another goal and could of easily had another assist. He is a striker who is making huge progress and for his value we bought him, is a fantastic piece of business. You should actually be big enough to accept he has proved you wrong this season.

Much better all round play today, took his goal well and no daft nonsense.

Agreed - Seemed to focus on the things he should be doing (getting the ball, turning his man and running), as opposed to doing things he shouldnt be doing. No daft stuff today, and took his tap in well - so credit where it is due.

Proved me wrong? One swallow doesnt make a summer!

He was better today than the low bar he has set for himself - but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

For all those fapping away, it was a 7 out of 10 performance, with a well taken tap in. Nothing more, nothing less.

He scored a goal. He also (twice early on) got on the ball, spun his man and ran towards goal - and didnt mess up the pass. So there are 3 positives things he did in 90 mins. If we are all honest - he didnt do much else (tell me if i am missing something!).
