It has been Carrick, but the barcodes have had chances to wrap it up and haven't taken them. You feel the Scousers will have at least one opportunity to make them pay.

You are a profit @just

2 big games, 2 games blown by Newcastle. That Villa win has not been a help to them.

What the f**k happened? I'm away from the screen to unload the dishwasher and do a few other household chores, and now those c**ts have won!

Great game... Newcastle failed to get the 2nd...

I don't think there is a more vomit inducing sight in world football than watching Klopp and TAA celebrating a win. Talk about over the top.

My celebrations would be well over the top as well  if we had got that result up there with 10 men.

I'd like to get back to over the top celebration games , been missing it tbf.

This is what a lot of people including me curious about De Zerbi ball. You can't deny it. It is absolutely brilliant.

But when opp just park the bus and hit you on the counter, what is next?

Dunno, perhaps we should try the low block if it's so effective?

It's worth a try isn't it ?

This game probably will highlight to Newcastle broad that there is a limit to Eddie Howe and he’s not in the Class of Klopp and Pep.
Eddie can take you so far but to get to the next level they need a world class coach.

You say that, but I have my doubts that Guardiola would have taken that Newcastle side from where they were and turn them into a Champions League team. Guardiola is a brilliant coach when he has everything in place for him, but I personally think he would struggle badly if he didn't have that.

With the players he has, I don't think Howe could have taken them any further. If anything, they overachieved last season with the players they had. They have the Saudi money, but it's not like they are throwing around crazy money on massive stars.

he did a good job turning Joelinton into a good player.

I disagree. The only bit of 'luck' Pep has got is getting the Barca job so early. If he had to go down the route of Sarri at Empoli or De Zerbi at Brighton to 'earn' a big job I absolutely believe he would have done just as good as those, if not better.

Honestly feel 10 men doesn't make that much of a difference from 11 in the league these days especially since several formations essentially have players playing two positions these days

10 men definitely puts you at a disadvantage. Liverpool have won their last 2 games with 10 men because they have several players that are confident goalscorers, it's ridiculous.

Newcastle had plenty of chances to kill the game and failed. Arsenal let Fulham back in due to a set piece error otherwise, they were literally all over Fulham.

Chelsea are an anomaly of a big team. Our Achilles heel has been our attack which has been awful for the majority for the last 10 years.

It's painful sitting through a game even with a man advantage knowing that you will only create a handful of chances. Teams don't fear us for that very reason and thus it puts so much pressure on our defence as the opposition know that we won't punish them at the other end .

10 Men with a goal down is a huge disadvantage, credit to them to turn it around. Newcastle just got too comfortable, lack of DM cover and a mistake by the defender and the game was tied. The winning goal was just a farce, caught in two minds about going for the win or draw, gave away the ball and defender had no chance against the speed of Nunez. A better and more experienced team would have kept the ball and ride the game out, Newcastle is not that team yet.

Never like seeing Liverpool win but it’s good to see Newcastle taken down a peg. Same goes for Brighton on Saturday. Fans of both clubs have been talking too much sh*te.

What? You mean you were not over the top in your celebrations of us conqueing the mighty Luton on Friday?

That is 3 points gained from a relegation rival!

For shame!.... ;)

Attacking has always been more of individual game. You can implement the perfect plan but in the end of the day you need your player to win their duel and score goals.

It looks like arsenal fans is going through the same experience as us with Kai.

1. Wohooo, we sign a multi dimensional generational attacker

2. Why is he so average on the ball? Why can't he receive the ball deep?

The manager is clueless, kai need to play higher.

3. He kept getting xG but doesn't score. Don't worry, finishing skill is a myth, xG is the most important. 😬😬😬

To be continued....

It's an interesting point though isn't it? From the start Pep has been extremely fortunate to either go in to manage an already great team, or to a club with huge money available. As a "newbie" manager could he have gone in to a small club with limited resources and achieve something like Mourinho did at Porto?

I tend to agree with @Scott Harris. I'm not sure he would have.
