Doesn't help when you have a liability like Cucurella in defence. He is an absolute guarantee of atleast 1 costly mistake per game.

Even when people were praising him the mistakes were still there. Just look at him, does he ever look composed? He's weaving and zig zagging all over the place. He never seems in tune with the rest of the defence, every block and tackle looks like a happy accident rather than something calculated and timed well.

We were linked with Gordon. They signed him. We signed Mudryk. Gordon is scoring, Mudryk is a bench player for us.

A lot of people here were against signing both Palmer and Gordon so I'm not surprised!

I thought at the time that the price for Gordon sounded a bit too much, but I had no idea that we would be signing Mudryk for an even bigger price.

It’s remarkable how good Newcastle became in such a short space of time, we have been run by clowns in comparison. Everything is wrong, the same discussions, going around in the circles; truly is a bleak existence being Chelsea.

Gordon would've been even worse had he signed with us. We've struggled with our attacking play for so long now. Jackson looks like a lame incarnation of Torres now.

But in comparison to Mudryk he would have been better and he would be costing us less in the process.

This second half is probably the worst bit of football I've seen from us for some time. Mind you, the competition is huge, so that says something about this "performance"...

He's good in a team already full of experience. Him signing for us would just have been another inexperienced player struggling.

He was also very good in a sh*te Everton side. Some people cream their pants over a player like Rafael Leao just because he looks flashy for AC Milan. Gordon is 10 times the player he is and has the work rate to match.

I think Newcastle had the advantage we had when Roman bought us where expectation was low so there was no pressure from the fans or the media to bring in top players or trophies. Boehly bought us a season after we won the UCL so expectations were high from day which led to them rushing to buy any and every player in that first transfer window which led to a lot of flop signings and a cycle of rebuilding the team every transfer window. Now we sadly are where we are.

Arrogant and indisciplined performance. We are so far off being a top four side its not even funny

This isn’t even considering having no home stadium for the next few years.

We may not win another league, or at least compete for the league for goodness knows.

He was sh*t in attack from what I could see. Had a lot of energgy and pace in him, but had little end product. Put Mudryk or Madueke in that Everton side, and they would have looked the same.

Our midfielders have really, really been shown up by Bruno, Joelinton and even 17yo Miley today.

Nothing to suggest Enzo would get into this Newcastle midfield for example, Bruno thoroughly outshining him.
