Probably just Delap for next season, with Emegha in scope for 25/26. Those guys are the ones that best fit the model.

We won’t be signing him, think it will just be Delap and Jackson going into next season.

Then we're no longer a serious club. We could end up losing a genuinely WC goal scorer a sh*te outfit like Man Utd or a mid-table Juve.

Resale value is a misnomer when the Saudi clubs are signing players well into their thirties.

25/26 with Jackson and Delap isn't good enough.

Letting Gyokeres slip away would be so unbelievably stupid. Delap is yet another project signing, not good enough yet, but maybe in the future. Gyokeres is good right now, so go get him. I get what the owners are trying to do, but it doesn't have to be with every single player. We can be good in future, but we can also be good right now too.

We aren't getting him. Quite positive. No way is Delap joining us if he knows Gyokeres is going to come here. I am sure he would have seeked assurances about his role.

The multiple players we have bought have either been shafted out on loan 6mths later, attempted to be sold or unbalanced the team by playing players out of position. Delap would have sought assurances he would get game time with Jackson already at the club, throwing in Gyokeres right after just makes no sense.

Personally think the rumour is baseless, and it’s just Gyokeres’ agent throwing our name in the mix to get his player a move.

I am not 100 percent sold on Gykores.. scored about 20ish non penalty goals in Portugal- he will be solid player but don’t see a lot of outstanding attributes - apart from being more clinical than Jackson.. he is a decent header / decent shot can hold up a bit but don’t really see the crazy hype to be honest ..

I would prefer an Osimhen who would lead in headed goals and has more pace.. but then that’s just me.

I am not even convinced they have been serious about him anyway. I think the so called links have been to force Delap to sign and not reconsider.

I also think the Ekitike thing will only happen if they can move Jackson on and turn a profit. Looking at Ekitike in those YT videos he looks far too weak for our league. Cannot see those spindly thin legs being able to take much of a clattering from the likes of Maguire, Romero, Burn etc.

I'd much rather we bought youngsters with potential with quantifiable epl experience... a lot of these boys just haven't got what it takes to make it in the Premier League here.
