April 14, 20242 yr There has to be some kind of internal inquest into this injury toll. For instance, when was the last time Ugochukwu even got on the field , how did he suffer an injury that kept him out for weeks ( or months)? I thought Colwill was a minor injury, but he was out for how long now? Sanchez, didn't he just come back from an injury, out again? Not even going to mention the cases of Levia or James, should just officially rule them out until 2025.

April 15, 20242 yr Petrovic Gusto Chalobah Silva Cucurella Chukwuemeka Caicedo Gallagher Noni Palmer Mudryk
April 15, 20242 yr I have a positive outlook on this match, Chelsea can’t really ruin my weekend or my week ahead 😏

Noni is in form, Palmer is undroppable and Mudryk has started to put in some good games.

April 15, 20242 yr Kind of tying in about three threads into one here as i have seen posts for strikers that have failed to achieve their expected promise here. I have also seen a thread of our favorite shirts in light of the latest incoming horrific offering. And then to finish the thread here covering rivalries between Chelsea and Everton. For me here is the embodiment of all three points.

I think it was the first game that we opened up the new Matthew Harding stand and they spoilt the party. Surprised it has been that long although since their last win at the Bridge, although there have been a fair few draws. Plus I remember them beating us on penalties at the Bridge in the FA Cup about 10 years ago.
April 15, 20242 yr Looking at the league table I think it will be hard for us to qualify for a European spot unless we win at least 5 of our last 8. With the poor performances of English teams in Europe this is how things look currently for next season: Top 4 ->Champions League 5th -> Europa League 6th-> Europa Conference League 1 Additional Europa League spot to the winners of FA Cup. If that ends up being City, then it would mean 6th goes into Europa League, and 7th to Conference League. Looking at Newcastle's remaining fixtures I would say 6th is now their's to lose. So Man United will see FA Cup as their best option. Probably our best option too, although getting past City will be a huge challenge given form and injuries. Hopefully we can find a way to win tonight. Any other result and realistically it will be all on the FA Cup for European chances.

Ah, i must be thinking of the previous year, 93-94, as i am sure it was 94 when i went to the bridge for it

I used to think even Conference League would be beneficial, but not anymore given the amount of injuries we keep having and the fatigue we keep seeing.

Was around the time Stein got into his scoring run that helped us move clear of relegation and go on our FA Cup run.

I would still like to finish as high as possible in the league but the most satisfying way to qualify for Europe (if we manage it) would be to win the FA Cup. City have the second leg against Real Madrid this week. Perhaps they will rest a couple of players after that. But they will still be formidable opposition, especially given the players unavailable for selection. I suspect tonight the team will largely pick itself. Presumably something like this: Petrovic Gusto (if available? Else Chalobah) Thiago Silva Chalobah (or Badiashile) Cucurella Caicedo Casadei Gallagher Palmer Madueke (or Mudryk) Jackson
April 15, 20242 yr Everton can't score goals to save their lives, surely we won't have to worry about conceding 2 goals today
