January 2Jan 2 Given how little experience he'd had as a manager and the flaws of the squad he was given I thought Enzo did OK. Two trophies in his fist season and qualified for the CL. This season though we looked worse and difficult to say if he would have been able to fix things if he stayed. Again, Marseca made his share of mistakes, but I genuinely believe no manager will be able to do significantly better with this assortment of players and the clowns in charge of this circus. We all knew the squad needs strengthening in key areas, instead they've just replaced average players with other average players. I just want his detractors to remember that when another manager comes in and has to deal with the same problems and struggle to resolve them. I think many will finally realize that you can only polish the turd so much until you realize it's never going to turn into a candy. The whole thing is just a shocking example of gross incompetence and lack of accountability from the hierarchy.

I mean message.

In other words they made some players like Reece Palmer, like Fofana and yes Fernandez non selectable thankfully Cucerella wasn’t available for other reasons. The SDs held the whip hand which should probably always be the case but it seems that at most other clubs the numbers only inform team selection not dictate availabilityThe situation has been complicated even further because of the schedule in January when there are 9 games over 31 days and that on top of there are still 3 games in December. On this point it seems that some at the club are staggered that other clubs like say Arsenal who likewise will have a very similar number of games in January haven’t rotated as aggressively and by pushing the can down the road as it were are inevitably going to face significant issues as their players get deeper into those pesky at risk areasIt was claimed that they conversion between the SDs and Meresca got worse , or shall I say got worse when it was made clear that there aren’t planned major additions in the next window although they are looking at a forward. Is he ITK ? Who knows but to be fair it did make senseWell seems there was some legs in the info passed on.

NOT THE PUPPET AT STRASBOURGChelsea target Premier League manager to replace MarescaAccording to a report from the Mail, Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola is ‘being considered’ by the club, with Chelsea set to have an interim manager this weekend against Manchester City, and thus more time to find a manager.Iraola is clearly one option that the Blues have as they hunt for Maresca’s replacement. What makes things slightly easier is the fact that he is out of contract down on the South Coast this summer. Why Iraola would be a good appointmentThere is no doubt that Cherries boss Iraola, a close childhood friend of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, is one of the most highly rated managers in the top flight. Journalist James Horncastle even went as far as saying that he is the “best coach in the Premier League,” which is huge praise indeed. It would certainly be a different appointment compared to if the Blues were to go and get Rosenior. The former Hull City gaffer has also impressed at Strasbourg, helping them to reach the Conference League this term. However, there is one thing that might swing it in Iraola’s favour, and that is the fact that he has Premier League experience. Rosenior, of course, has never managed in the top flight of England, just like Maresca hadn’t done before.5 hours ago, Caps_Lock_King said:Rosenior, of course, has never managed in the top flight of England, just like Maresca hadn’t done before.Would the clowns upstairs really be stupid enough to make the same mistake twice ?

January 3Jan 3 Rosenior was rightly sacked at hull city.... The most boring "football" i have ever seen....couldn't get us in the play offs with a squad of delap, carvalho, tufan and philogene + a few others100% agree, felt harsh at the time but look at where Hull are now, playing much better football, in a better league position and with arguably lower quality players vs that rosenior teamWhat is the problem with the people who run Chelsea? Why are they getting through so many managers? Makes no senseWe need a stat for this: “xM” - the number of expected managers in a season.Cannot say that the writing is not on the wall...

Such an arrangement is the bare minimum in more athletic sports. All they care about is whether the player themselves declares their fitness, which they are always compelled to do, especially given our current squad size and demographic.
January 3Jan 3 If they higher LR then the problem at the club is there for us all to see. SD’s Brighton mentality. I didn’t like Meresca but these clowns have sacked him for all the wrong reasons and want to replace him with a poorer version of himself.Speaking up about how the club is being run, outside interference in first team matters and transfers being the obvious 2 are about the best things EM did.He should have been sacked for the boring football and head scratching decisions and over complicated tactics. With the club looking at LR and insisting they want the same style of play we have to wonder who was making those decisions.Do they know anything about football, do they watch it? Do they have their fingers in the pulse of the fans who have made in abundantly clear we want the football to change or don’t they care.I hoped a new manager would change things on the pitch, even with interference from upstairs or the medical department the manager chooses the team(from who ever is available) if he sends them out in the correct formation, with the right tactics and more importantly the correct tempo from the kick off things will change in terms of viewing entertainment yet these clowns want to keep the worst part of the current ‘project’ our so called style of play. They are throwing away the bruised banana but keeping the peel. It’s starting to feel like our club as been infiltrated by some sleeper cell that’s slowly bringing us down from the inside.
