It was a soft penalty to concede and Liverpool isn't that great today. They are here for the taking. We can still beat them.  Need to see more from Sancho or swap him for Felix and Jackson for Nkunku. We definitely can beat this lot today.

This system is still ideal had Colwill not give away the penalty, but at some point Maresca will need to bring in attackers to work the channels better. IE Nkunku and Felix.

I would bring on Neto and veiga the left is getting exposed, maybe protect James bring gusto to the right

Can’t over commit they are sharp on the break, we are playing the game well tactically if they weren’t playing for pens every attack and our defence was more composed this would be going exactly as planned, our left side is weak needs to change that and continue 

Maresca will sort it out second half. 

This has been pretty close to what I expected. Neither of these teams are as good as their followers or the press seem to believe.

Our defence is a complete and utter mess.

I do agree with him though. It’s the right decision but Sanchez is very lucky. Could have easily been given. 

Gusto have been horrendous unfortunately btw. Tried to invert a few times but he's been absolutely all over the place and left Colwill and our entire midfield exposed.
Cucurella is key for us.

We can... unfortunately they can beat us too... just by sitting back and hitting us on the break... not sure this was a good game to start James... Colwill is ok - the other two that worry me!

Daniel Sturridge looks and sounds like a pimp

I'm almost certain that the mistakes we see at the back are because of the slow and casual way they're been coached to play. All of this slow waiting for teams to press them has bought in some bad habits. Their body language is always so languid. I didn't see any of these players making the amount of mistakes they make for us at other clubs they played for. Even Sanchez wasn't this error prone at Brighton.
