He's a young premier league proven striker who has scored 12 goals for a club that created the least amount of chances this season only behind Leicester. £30m transfer fee. and £150kpw is arguably the best deal available given the upside. He has resale value, proven, low wages, and can only get better given the amount of chances we create.

I’m on the fence with Delap. He absolutely bullied our defence but that’s not really saying much, and for his first season he’s played well. The question I have is had Ipswich not bought him and loaned guiu in at the start of the season instead would guiu have had a similar impact?

No, I really doubt Guiu would have done as well as Delap did. Guiu is very raw and barely experienced top level football, and he’s nowhere near Delap’s level.

I mean can you see Guiu dismantling our defence like Delap did? I can’t.

not with his physicality but his movement would have had our defenders doing cartwheels.

He does have his first mini football, which he occasionally kicks in the right direction. So already better than Jackson.

The latest is that Arsenal have made an offer to Liam Delap. Arsenal informed Delap's people that they are willing to match his demands, but they also made it clear that he would have to fight for his place and that he would likely start out as second choice to Gyokeres - who they are also planning on signing.
