I’ll still take Garnacho at his worst than Gittens

No issue with Garnacho on the whole, bit erratic with his finishing but at least he’s positive and seems to always go forward/attempt the shot instead of just ‘recycling possession’

He’s (much, much, much) better than Gittens and on the whole more ‘positive’ than Sancho was for us last season. Of what’s available on that wing, he’s the best of a bad bunch.

Frustrating when he tries to beat keeper at the near post when it's never on but at least he put in a decent shift today.

As i said , he needs to play , he will get better, he helped out a lot defensively in the second half, he should be told to attack his FB more, its like Maresca has told him not to give the ball away or he will be taken off

That's probably spot on. Garnacho puts on a shift but its largely ineffective and often very wasteful. Against lesser full backs, as shown against Cardiff, he has some use but against top flight defenders he will largely be second best.

Playing Gittens at left wing is like picking Warwick Davis to be in your high jump team.

Can't the coaching staff tell him to pass/cross the ball more instead of taking stupid shots every time?
For someone with terrible finishing, he seems so greedy

It's quite impressive how we managed to downgrade from Madueke who wasn't that great himself.

No. He will not. ALL United did was play him, he’s been playing since he was a kid non-stop, his real age is about 28. How can he ‘attack’ his full back when he can’t beat a man? He tried to, just failed, then stopped; as it reminded him of what he can’t do, nothing to do with Maresca.

He will get his head down and run, ignore Palmer, ruin the attack, hit row z as default. Over and over again. He’s hit the ceiling, there is no potential, at heart, he’s actually a full-back really; guys playing the wrong position. 1 Premier league goal, and even that was a defeat.

Headless chicken until proves me differently and I want it to work for him with us as we need him or Gittens to come good but he was gash yesterday.

Got to improve on his decision making and shooting... pointless getting into good areas to spoon something over the bar or misplace a pass.

Yup. Makes things happen even if the end result isn't there yet. Gittens makes nothing happen.

He might be young in age but he has been around for a while. Made his debut at 17, and currently on his 3rd full season in the PL. I just think he is technically very poor, can’t shoot, can’t pick out a pass, can’t cross. Only thing he offers is pace behind.

Same player he was at United. Has the odd nice finish in him, but gets almost everything else wrong.

Garnacho is consistent, he hits the same shot over the bar every time. He still has more time to do something better this season - but so far he has been a poor signing.
