May 11, 20251 yr Burn should have been booked pulling back Neto. And the free for Gordon against Palmer. Ref has lost control and will be off the reffing roster for next week.

He's not a starting-level striker for a club with our aspirations. It's so obvious, and the lack of alternatives says a lot about our scouting/ squad management. People need to be held accountable, and it's not all on Maresca.
May 11, 20251 yr Let’s look at the positives if we got CL we’d have more of Jackson and maresca for another season…

May 11, 20251 yr So this Enzo philosophy of ‘control’ seems more often than not to have us on the back foot. Absolutely appalling tactics from the start.
May 11, 20251 yr The only thing I will say is the VAR overturned the yellow which they never do Look at mings yesterday

May 11, 20251 yr We were always going to lose this one. Doesn't change much in the grand scheme of things. United and Forest are must win games.
May 11, 20251 yr Newcastle are hardly a top team. Got some decent players but nowhere near a top side. However they've been streets ahead of us the entire match. We've spent over a billion for this sh*t. But when you consider our owners don't even know who Ruud Gullit is we can understand how we got here.
May 11, 20251 yr Newcastle knew exactly what to do in and out of possession from the kickoff. The stupid red card just really lowers any real chance of a result. A lot to do in next two weeks. Europa league is more our level anyway

May 11, 20251 yr Well that was... below expectations. We've responded okay to going down to ten men, but we'll need something else in the second half. I would bring on Sancho for the awful Fernández at some point (and give Chalobah the captain's arm band). I assume Lavia can't play 90 minutes, so we would have to bring on Dewsbury-Hall or James (or Gusto if you're Maresca) at some point in the second half. If they score again it's over. Stay in the game and try to nick a goal on the counter. Currently I don't think we have enough players going forward to do it. P.S. Post-red card Jackson is still better than Nkunku.
May 11, 20251 yr On another day, it would be for the best if Jackson was kept away from the dressing room, but the rest of them have been so sh*t themselves that they can't exactly be pointing fingers.

May 11, 20251 yr Talk sport saying as it was a yellow there was not enough for var to overturn Reece and gusto been called in during half time warm up so we are bring on 2 right backs ?
