Frustrating half.

Some lazy performances so far. The entire attack has been out of sync. Poor touches, poor movement, poor crossing. Midfield has been the same.

I'm also so tired of Cucurella taking up a spot in the attack. I don't care if he gets the odd goal from there, it's a net negative overall. Garnacho is isolated because of this, it also just packs the box with Sunderland defenders because they pull a man back to mark Cucurella. He Ends up taking up a position Guiu or Pedro can take up and it makes our front line look disjointed. It's sh*t, and it doesn't work anywhere near enough for it to be something we do throughout an entire match.

Enzo being sh*te isn’t even a worthy talking point, as that’s been his Chelsea career. Just a given.

There are only two Chelsea players who are allowed to walk - Josh the way he walks the ball out of defence is great. AND Caicedo he is allowed to walk - both of them walk with the ball really well and both of them walk forwards. all the other players are not allowed to walk with or without the ball.

We don't even make use of home advantage, teams feel way too comfortable at Stamford Bridge.

When you're away to City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc.. you think about surviving the fast football until half time and then see where you are in the 2nd half.

But Maresca hates fast football so teams feel comfortable within minutes of the start and then end up having a similar amount of attempts on goal as us.

I keep seeing Guiu and Pedro looking to take up the spot Cucurella has wondered into. It's really annoying. Just pull him back into midfield or get him to help the winger.

Maresca thinks it's a genius move so he keeps trying it.

I don't think I've heard Fernandez's name mentioned more than once by the commentators in the 1st half. I barely realised he was even playing. Neto having a bad game but he's not being given much help on that side of the pitch to be fair.

It's just another unconvincing performance and starts with the manager. Could you imagine St James' Park with Newcastle scoring with their first attack. It would have been a cauldron. The energy and intensity would have reverberated around the ground and on the pitch. Us, fking walking football against a back 7. Appalling tactical set up.

I do feel sorry for our wingers. I don't really rate Garancho, Neto or Gittens, but this tactic of putting them up against two defenders is making their job impossible. There aren't many in the game that could ever deal with two defenders on them.

Didn't take long for this new Le Bris fella but he's got Maresca's mark already. Let us move the ball really slowly and then just pick us off through our weak underbelly as we gift them loose passes.
