He is the game changer for our midfield. One of the best passers in the world, if he was spanish he would be starting for Spain, cant believe Tuchel hasnt taken him.

I'm not convinced Wharton or Anderson would make a difference. The Blue co strategy doesn't encourage or embrace such players.

It's hard to predict anything atm before knowing who's staying and who's coming. However, if the roster remains anything like it is today, I reckon an asymmetrical formation — perhaps with 3 atb, even with Caicedo there — wouldn't surprise me.
I've been reading that he has used asymmetrical formations quite a bit (one side not mirroring the opposition), so I was just wondering about that, esp considering the difficulties in our backline. Josh might be able to get more minutes in a 3 atb situation, for ex.

Sounds like they’ve got Iraola lined up who I read, is not interested in making decisions and happy to just coach. Suspect he’s probably a better fit for their model
