June 29Jun 29 Think this one only gets done when Swiss crashes out of the World Cup which is more likely against one of Colombia/Ghana than Algeria this week, but could go all the way against Argentina on July 11th.
June 29Jun 29 Am I the only one who cynically thinks this is the board making it look like they're backing Alonso by putting in a nonsensical bid knowing it will be rejected so they can say 'see we tried. Now how about this 17 year old....'

(On a 3 year contract)Which means on book value alone he's at least 10.

July 3Jul 3 Like I said, Alonso was genuinely half the battle. Looking forward to seeing what quality/experienced player they fail to get next week.
July 3Jul 3 I'd call it embarrassing if I haven't been watching that farce for the last four years, so now it's just business as usual at Clown FC.

July 3Jul 3 BlueCo never wanted him to begin with, they just wanted to look like they were backing Alonso. I didn't think the original offer was an insult like others are saying, but I knew Sunderland wouldn't accept it because they don't want to sell, and BlueCo would have known that. The only thing they can do is buy young players for high transfer fees. Nothing has changed, and with only a few weeks until pre-season starts, it's only a matter of time now before those that were saying "be patient" will once again realise they've been played by BlueCo.
July 3Jul 3 30m pounds for a dogsh*te Liam Delap or absolute dogsh*te Garnacho ain't no problem for BlueCo yet a player endorsed by our MANAGER is a bridge too far???

They went through three managers and he couldn't get a game in a side that almost got relegated. De Zerbi showed him the door from the moment he arrived and he has done fck all whenever he has been on the pitch. What it should have said is that he is viewed as a very promising prospect for a mediocre mid table club, in a small stadium and a hierarchy that has no ambition and is broke.
