Why on earth did England stop playing at one nil??

I'm absolutely fuming

Tuchel, the f**king moron.

We will never win any match like this. Never. We do not have the mentality for it. We will mix it up and go toe to toe with them. But that is from indignation and giving as good as they get. But the Argentinians love this.this is their mentality, they want this type of game and they enjoy it when everyone plays to their level. They are great at it and we never learn.

f**k off. Tuchel went full on Southgate ball and we're out because of it. f**k these cowardly tactics, it's cost us this generations best chance at winning any trophy 3 of the last 4 times. Imagine going that defensive with so much time left to be played against a team good from crosses, and against f**king Messi of all players. It's a disasterclass from Tuchel, just like that useless twat Southgate before him. We were winning and he just threw on defenders. I'm so tired of this soft underdog approach, we had the talent to hurt that defence of theirs just as much as they could hurt ours, they weren't even good!

Cape Verde and Egypt had more balls. My whole f**king life watching England it's the same story. Bottlejobs.

Hes nowhere near as good as many think he is, his in game management is abysmal, completely f**ked up the subs and formations in this game and the Mexico one.

I agree. He is too rigid. Not a big enough gambler.

But tbf Argentina were the better team IMO. Both in terms of ability and fight.

They did not look that great against Egypt and Swiss. Its England allowed them to flourish after scoring by sitting deep

A number of things Bellingham being run down why does he not kick down the line to go out for a throw in at their end.

Our crosses were poor Jame's have been pedestrian pace and Konsa's not much better.

I think the Argies were fitter and a better team and by trying to play out the 1-0 with an extra defender with the Argies having good crosser from Messi and De Paul was very questionable.

Messi with the assist too.

Bloke really may win his second World Cup.

Yes, I got that slightly wrong. I went fir Messi with the injury time winner. Instead it was the assist, but we we were so poor throughout that phase of play from the point of Harry Kane just standing like a plum whilst the guy hit the post and it unravelled from there.

Because it's what we always do. Different manager, same outcome. Always got to dig in and defend, but why can't it be the opposite and defend by attacking or keeping the ball?

5 shots all game (2 on target).

We were very poor in attack today, the goal aside.

Been like it for a while. As the games have got harder Kane has done less and less. We made such play about our wingers yet its only Gordon that has plated well. Rogers was really poor today and Bellingham looked like it was just one game too far for him.

I thought Stones did well today, overall Spence wasn't bad either.

Agreed Val.

My point was more that England switched to 6 defenders plus Anderson to see out against a very good technical team, not a lump it side like Mexico. Was too many defenders for me, not enough out ball options or leaders in the middle of midfield.
