July 12, 20179 yr Chelsea are in advanced talks with Athletico Madrid in a swop deal that will see Griezmann join Chelsea FC in January. The Bakayoko deal will be wrapped up on Friday. No contact has been made to Real Madrid for any player as concerns about negotiations surrounding Eden Hazard are too much of a risk. Chelsea are struggling to agree a fee for Sandro, looks like a John Stones saga all over again. Belotti remains Conte's first choice to lead our line in time for Burnley. The transfer fee is again the problem, Chelsea refuse to meet the buyout clause. My guys valuation is still 8m apart.

I can already see us trying to replace these extremely average players this time next year. Our infamous transfer window where we signed Pedro, Begovic, Rahman, etc would even be better. The truth is we struggle attracting quality players. Even as champions we couldn't sign Lukaku. If we think Real Madrid's scraps, Roma's worst starting defender and Monaco's biggest donkey are going to improve us then we are wrong. There are/were actually very good players available this window. Dahoud, Silva, Aurier, Fabinho, Aubameyang, Belotti, Koulibaly, Alves, van Dijk, etc. yet here we are trying (and struggling) to sign overpriced garbage. LOL, SMH, LMFAO.....etc.

Madrid's "scraps" included talents that walk into the starting XI of most club's in Europe... Their squad is stacked with talent hence being league and European Cup winners. How many clubs let a player of the quality such as James Rodriguez leave on a two loan? I mean, that's a very subjective statement regardless but Roma conceded 38 goals last season, so one per game. Even their "worst" defender must have been doing something right to have done so well? He played in the middle for league Champions who won their title by 8 points, playing in 32 of the games and also helped Monaco get to the semi-finals of the European Cup... So again, he must have been doing something right? Or y'know, you can just be a negative Nancy about everything and piss and moan that we've not signed Messi or whoever... Whatever floats your boat fella. I remember when we got another of Madrids scraps, Makalele or something, think he did ok. As for the res of the garbage he wrote, I think it just shows how much of a know nothing pleb he is.

The improvements come in squad depth with danilo, Bakayoko, Rudiger and Morata all having the potential to be better than the counterparts you have suggested

July 12, 20179 yr Didn't that Spanish contributor mentioned a swop deal involving Costa and Griezmann...just getting a big fly squatter out for those flying pigs...
July 12, 20179 yr For a professional Football Agent he can't even spell the word SWAP! Shows how infrequently swap deals happen!

July 12, 20179 yr Yes there was a spanish poster in the James thread that said he saw diego at Atletico's training ground yesterday and that a "swop" deal for Griezmann was in the works. He did spell it "swop" as well...

Danilo, Bakayoko, Rudiger and Morata are all relatively young with space to improve. How are we going backwards considering how poor Matic, Cahill, Moses and Costa can be? Costa is going to leave and with a sour taste in the mouth to boot, that ship has sailed now with him not turning up for training. There are not a lot of striker in the world that can replace his contribution to us. Lewandowski is the only one I think that improves us on Costa, the others whilst good all have their pros and cons Matic divides opinions minute by minute in games. There are plenty that can replace him given how slow he is, how one footed, how poor he is in the air for a 6fter. Bakayoko at least has a better engine and for me seems to be better in the air. Bakayoko has the potential to improve at least whereas Matic is pushing 30 and has declined/stagnate whilst playing for us. Moses is ok. But we cannot rely on him alone for the next 60+ games. It would wreck him. Danilo gives us option while competing for that spot. Rudiger is/can be an improvement on Cahill. Rudiger is a ball playing CB who last season had to play at RB and CB at Roma because that squad was destroyed by injuries and they were ib contention for the title. Gary is good don't get me wrong but he's at the last phase of his peak and will only continue to decline further. You cannot underestimate a footballer's decline, ie Ivanovic declined so bad he went from our best RB to very poor fullback after 1 summer. Everyone struggles to attract quality players becauss the competition is so great now and some players want different things. Some consider location, some wants titles, some have boyhood dreams etc. Real struggled with Mbappe, Barca struggled, Juve struggled, PSG etc. The only one seemingly to not struggle is Bayern but even then, it's not like they win the CL league year in year out. Bayern just loaned James for 2yrs, he barely makes the bench at Real now. Nothing wrong with buying players unwanted from other teams when you consider what they can give to your own team. Sanchez wasn't 1st choice, he turned out ok in the Prem so is Henry when he was at Juve, so there is nothing wrong with that. All it matters is how we use the player and set up the right environment to bring out the best of that player. Roma's "worst defender" was just chosen by Loew in the Confed cup and won. He even looked better than Mustafi and has just as much a potential to grow the guy is tall, strong, versatile, can dribble and execute the occasional long pass and was wanted by our coach last summer. Monaco's "biggest donkey" is a viable upgrade to Matic and was pursued by the coach. I don't see how the board chasing targets wanted by the coach makes you upset. That's what Conte wants but what Conte wants isn't good enough because? You're not the guy that trains or sets up the team, you don't really know his plans so all that we can do is trust the coach's targets. i'd understand if we chased random players for the 1st team but the targets so far are line with what the coach wants. Dahoud : Average but has good free kicks Van Dijk: No one is touching him atm anyway plus he just came back from half a season being injured. Koulibaly: Napoli is too much of a hassle to deal with and after last season why would we bother with them again Belotti & Auba: We're rumoured to be chasing them too, so idk why you include them as well. Silva: idk which Silva you're talking about but Bernardo and Andre were snapped up just as the window opened and we don't know if we're even involved because these things are behind the scenes work, maybe we did and the playee wants Pep or like whichever project being pitched so who knows Alves: PSG bound plus we don't need him. He leaves a bad taste in the mouth on and off the pitch. He's 34 already so why bother? He has max 2yrs left and playing the way he does it's better for him at slower leagues. Aurier: Another headcase, will probably rotate with Alves seeing as Maxwell retired Fabinho: It wasn't Conte's decision, why bother signing a player the manager doesn't want?

July 12, 20179 yr 22 hours ago, RMCM said: I'd absolutely take Sanches on loan, it's risk free, with potential for him to be an incredible asset for us this season. If he flops he goes back to bayern. Then leave him there to save time and money. I've seen nothing from this player to suggest that he's Bayern level, but it's interesting that they want to loan him rather move him on. Maybe that indicates they've seen reason for hope, or maybe they're just crossing their fingers in the hope he'll conjure a run of form that will persuade someone to give them their money back. If they can get someone to pay his wages plus a loan fee equivalent the 2017/2018 portion of his amortised transfer fee, then that's a good solution for them. I saw him produce an outstanding assist at the U21 Euros last month. It was truly brilliant and one of only a handful of impressive things I've ever seen from him. That's not as harsh as it might sound because the Euros last year, and the baby Euros this, are all I've seen of him. Still haven't discerned what ever it was that sent Bayern scurrying for their cheque book though.

Conte wants a forward line of Hazard Belotti and Griezmann. No interest whatsoever in Morata, Lukaku or anyone else in that bracket.
