I wonder just how much all that effected him. He had a traumatic 12 months or so, first with a very bad injury meaning he missed almost an entire season then the ridiculous ban. Sometimes that can effect a player very badly mentally and maybe a move away from England could do him the world of good.

I know the spoilt brat thing can be thrown about but while I am happy that the club has invested heavily in new young talent, I, like seemingly quite a few others am concerned that we haven't added to the squad in that key position of the deep or defensive playmaker/midfielder. We can argue about Mikel till we're blue in the face but there are plenty of players out there that are better right now or as good with the potential to be better in the coming years.

Maybe we've just blown our budget on number 10's for this season and will make do until next summer when surely with the return of De Bruyne we will not sign anymore number 10's.

Because as much as I'd love to see a better option for the deeper midfield role, we should have enough in the squad now to finish top 4 and we've probably got enough new players to try and bed in already. Modric nor anyone else* would probably not be enough for us to actually win the title this season.

Hernandez would make great sense. For both parties. At United he is behind Rooney, RVP and Welbeck, all of them being sort of untouchables, at least the first two. Here he just has Torres and Sturridge to compete with and we cant really say either is untouchable.

I can't understand why anyone would want Hernandez. We can barely provide Torres with any service, imagine how useless Hernandez would be. He would spend 90 mins in/near the box watching the game go past him. At least with Torres and Sturridge they can hold up the ball, pick passes, etc.

Berbatov is leaving, it's just the wages and contract that Fergie forced him to sign makes it hard to push for a move elsewhere.

Still going to be in the bottom half of the table, they have improved their wings considerably but the midfield and defence (CBs mainly) is still pretty piss poor.

Rumoured price is between 7-10m Euros. He might not qualify for a work permit yet (trying to get Belgian citizenship) so it could be a purchase with a loan straight back, or it could all be rubbish.

Guys, what would you think about getting Riccy back? He'd be pretty cheap as Mourinho said he is not counting on him for this season.
