June 8, 201313 yr kpb would be good for his versatility, but I would prefer us to keep kdb hear. I don't think the two are related to be honest. I don't think he's average, but then again I don't think he'd be first choice for any position here, unless he strings together a good run of form. Like I said, it's unlikely though which is why I put it in here.
June 8, 201313 yr Boateng's one of Milan's best players, tbf, and his versatility is always a plus. Could definitely do a job as a b2b midfielder if partnered with a more defensive minded midfielder.
June 8, 201313 yr He was easily Portsmouths best player during his time in the premier league. To be honest, that's not saying much. I do agree, though... He's not average. He's a pretty good player, but I'm not sure if he's a player that we need.

June 8, 201313 yr Can't remember the last time he had a good game for Milan. He started fairly well but then just fell off as the season went on, Milan fans I've come across wouldn't mind seeing him sold along with Robinho. He doesn't have the discipline to play as part of a midfield two, when paired with De Jong, who is about as defensive as a midfielder can get, he still went wandering and left De Jong with a lot to do. Even in a 3 man midfield he wanders around and doesn't track back and do as much as he used to. I wouldn't want him, last season he was class but not anymore.
June 8, 201313 yr theres only so many places in the squad, they both play in the same positions albeit with different roles. I'm not so sure, they both play pretty much every role and with Marin likely to leave, Essien past it, Lampard in his last year and Schurrle not sewn up, it's not like we can't have both in the squad, but I do see your point. This is true, I must admit he isn't as good as he was at first, but he does strike me as the sort of character (something almost impossible to judge, mind) that Mourinho would get the most out of. It's just he's my favourite Milan player so I'm a little bit more excited about this than I should be, and really I should know better.
June 8, 201313 yr He's right behind Suarez an Rio on my 'most hated' list, hope we stay away from him.

June 8, 201313 yr I rate him, still eats away at me a bit for the Ballack injury, but he's a tidy player and I think he would improve our squad.
June 9, 201313 yr http://www.flickr.com/photos/93385813@N03/8987664858/ Please, please tell me Jose actually said this I saw that on twitter. There's just way too much 'quotes' flying around to know what is true or not, thanks to this social media world we live in. Apparently Guardiola said something similar about Neymar having a different haircut for every match but Messi doesn't care about those things. Typical farca 'holier than thou' bullsh*t, probably made up by one of their fans. Edited June 9, 201313 yr by cfc88
June 9, 201313 yr I'm getting slightly concerned at the amount of times I'm reading in the papers that Jose is considering selling Luiz and Mata. It's in The Sunday Times again today. Part of me thinks that it's just media bullsh*t designed to unsettle the Chelsea fan base. However the other part of me is thinking that there's no smoke without fire.
June 9, 201313 yr I would die. Not figuratively, I would literally die if we sold Juan Mata. Don't do it, Jose, you wouldn't want me to die now, would you?
June 9, 201313 yr It has to be media BS, Why would we want to sell our best players when we are in no position or need to do so? Hopefully it'll all be cleared up tomorrow at 1:30 pm
June 9, 201313 yr ffs Chelsea, offer the new man a new contract. He deserves to be getting the wages Terry / Hazard / Torres are getting.
June 9, 201313 yr Xabi Alonso rumours doing the rounds again, the Sunday Telegraph running with that story this morning.
June 9, 201313 yr xabi alonso is having surgery over the summer so I highly doubt he'd be moving anywhere, as he couldn't pass a fitness test.
June 9, 201313 yr I'm sure there have been cases when a player's been injured but still signed for the club. Carroll to Liverpool springs to mind but there must be other examples.

June 9, 201313 yr Can't see us selling Mata unless we need money to buy Ronaldo (which wouldn't happen) or Bale.
June 9, 201313 yr Selling Juan would be insane, am I the only one worried that our rivals i.e Citeh seem to be getting their deal done extremely quickly as opposed to us?
June 9, 201313 yr Not particularly, yet. They haven't been signing players that we've been targeting so I wouldn't worry.
