January 20, 20224 yr Newcastle have had a 30mill bid accepted by Sevilla for 28 year old defender Diego Carlos, and face competition from a London club that is not West ham or Arsenal: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12040/12520835/diego-carlos-newcastle-moving-closer-to-deal-for-sevilla-man-but-face-competition-from-london-premier-league-rival Palace? Probably not Us or Spurs, most likely Spurs but I guess not impossible is us.
January 20, 20224 yr @comtrend will be disappointed but Spurs have agreed terms with Franck Kesse apparently.

January 24, 20224 yr City apparently close to signing Alverez from River Plate who is apparently very highly rated. No doubt he will be great for them, City have a habit of signing good strikers. Why can’t we???

I can just see how positive everyone would be if we signed a 5ft7 striker from Argentina who averages 1 in 3 that none of us had heard of last week
January 26, 20224 yr I'd like to put a precursor to this post and say i think Marina and our scouts in general do a great job for Chelsea. However, its been abundantly clear since November we need a new LB and should have had one lined up to come in first week of January. We're competing domestically, in Europe and also the CWC this season. On top of that Alonso is hopeless and Sarr is very unproven, however had a good showing against Tottenham (which isn't hard these days). The injury to Reece also you would have thought by now there would be something more concrete in the works. Just got to hope we can get someone, even on loan, in before the end of the month.
January 26, 20224 yr The futile pursuit of recalling Emerson was a fool’s errand from day 1. What were options B, C, D and E? It appears they could get Dest on loan. Why wait?

Signing someone, even on loan, was reported to not be happening as I have mentioned earlier this month. For one when spent our budget on Lukaku, and for another we made huge losses last year. Seems more likely we cash in on Broja and Gallagher than we do sign someone.

Man I hope we don’t cash in on them. Think I’d rather we sell Werner and incorporate Broja at this point. Gallagher would be getting games here right now with the injuries we’ve had. Nothing to happen this month though, I agree. For the summer, here’s what hopefully will happen: -bring back Broja and Gallagher -buy Rice or Tchouameni -buy Kounde and another CB -replace Alonso and Azpi -sell Pulisic (been severely underperforming and I think it’s quite clear that in the recent Athletic report, it’s him that’s unhappy with his role) I see a lot of our perennial loanees being sold this summer too due to new loan rules. Players like Rahman, Bakayoko, Kenedy, Batshuayi.
January 27, 20224 yr https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/jan/27/donny-van-de-beek-manchester-united-player-non-grata-available-loan A weird contradiction of a player for whom it's hard to identify what his position is or what specifically it is he's good at. Fits our recent transfer model perfectly.

I thought we might have binned a few of those on the peripheral of the squad and rarely seen action this year such as Barkley. Clearly need a clean out in the summer though unless TT changes his tactics. I'd bin Ziyech, he might score the odd worldy now and then but his overall work ethic sucks, CHO needs to go, overrated and never will reach his potential if he has one, rarely takes on a defender even those he should be able to beat. Pulisic needs to go together with Jorghino who has been a decent servant and even RLC who had more than enough opportunities to impress and only has the odd good game here and there. Alonso, can't defend worth sh*t and is only good as a PT player against the lower teams. With Kante now only being used sparingly I'd bring in an attacking creative midfielder as well as a strong defensive midfielder, another CB and LWB to back up Chillwell. I'm still on the fence with Lukaku, I don't think he fits into TT's system and we play better with Havertz up top. Seeing as we seem to always destroy a centre forwards career we might be better off with a false 9 and have Broja on the bench. Werner needs to get his sh*t together but he always puts a shift in regardless of how many misses he can come up with.

Just don't expect any takers for Ross cause if their was he would be gone. We may let RLC go to Everton if they make an offer. We may see some last minute sales if we are lucky.

February 1, 20224 yr Some Chelsea old guard on the free transfer list today. Diego Costa Branislav Ivanovic Ramires Jon Obi Mikel Wonder if Frank fancies a dabble 😂
February 2, 20224 yr Why don't we get young talented players from Portugal like United did with Bruno and Liverpool with Luis Diaz? Porto are at the top of liga nos table and are still open to selling their best players for average sums. It's a massive opportunity for foreign clubs to get great players before they cost 100 million.

February 13, 20224 yr Some random links with Brighton’s Adam Webster. As a product of the Portsmouth youth academy I say sign him up - maybe he and Mount can help rehabilitate Broja when he comes back from that sh*thole he’s in?
