A mate of mine, a Bayern fan, offers qualified praise. His sheer speed tends to disguise deficiencies: not technically great, poor crosses, dodgy decision making. But a speed machine. And part of his problem with Bayern is that he's had enough of playing LB.

Apparently we are looking at Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton:

He is comfortable at either left or right back so would offer decent cover for the squad. However, if the height argument is currently being used to play Colwill over Chilwell at LB, I am not sure Walker-Peters would fare any better in this regard

I wouldn’t turn down Benzema, he’s head & shoulders above our strikers.

Benzemas wages make the deal impossible, unless he agrees to a massive cut for 6 months.

Firmino without Salah and Mane would be another striker who does not score as he drops deep to link up, without those two to finish the job.

I would imagine he'd realise a drop in wages would be required.

Pretty sure if a loan was agreed his wages would have to be reduced, no one else would pay his ridiculous salary.  Didn't Joao Felixs wages and loan fee cost us something stupid like a million a game?  We could possible afford him, but looks like the premier league are pretty serious on the FFP all of a sudden so maybe not that easy.

I'd be quite happy with this. Was surprised no one moved for him in the summer.

Be careful what you wish for. Benzema needs to be competing for something to make him motivated, he would be worse than Ronaldo in the Utd dressing room if we sign him on loan. Didn’t he tell Mendy not to pass to Vinicius when the latter was struggling?

If Mitrovic is available on loan he will be ideal, wouldn’t walk around with a chip on his shoulder.

He would need to work on technical deficiencies. Blinding speed is nice but not the be-all and end-all.

Yeah me too, looks a quality player and is genuinely 2 footed, so can play both wings. Ideal for at least a squad place.

sounds like the perfect Poch player. A LB he can play on the right wing, especially as he cant cross.

Yeah I saw that reminds me of Zaha though arguably a better shot and a trick or two. Also a bit Kane-like without the headers.

Sporting bought him after a spell for Coventry he also plays for Sweden and is only 25 which is within Clearlakes preferred investment policy.
