He's already a very complete player at such a young age but he's certainly not going to help with our goal scoring. If you are excited by Paez or Estevao then I see no reason why you shouldn't be excited about Quenda.A 17 year old in his first season is always "raw" in my book ? How can he be otherwise ?He's obviously not a complete player as he has several weaknesses to his game, and his output is light years lower than Estevao, and even he is a gamble. Paez I am not expecting much. Hopefully they all turn out good,

Paez I am not expecting much. Hopefully they all turn out good,I assumed you meant raw in terms of ability, not experience. Aerial duels naturally a weakness due to this height I didn't think that one needed to be brought up. Finishing I mentioned already, hope it gets better with age but no doubt a major weakness of his at the moment. Tackling I guess? He's so high up the pitch so I can see how it can be very weak when he's chasing back and commiting fouls rather than being in position to make a favorable tackle. As a winger in our system I would imagine this wouldn't be an issue. Defensive contribution I have no idea how that's measured as he's got good work rate, maybe does try to press too much and ends up going alone at times like Connor did for us instead of with the team so I guess that knocks his stats down.

I'd also prioritise a physical goal-scoring central midfielder to play with Caicedo instead of Fernandez, but you have to pick battles you can win LOL

March 14, 20251 yr Managers and players speak of him really highly, I've added his assist against Man City from earlier this season as well. He looks looks very direct with good vision and has very good crossing/passing, but don't worry, Maresca will do his best to train that out of him.
March 18, 20251 yr Liverpool scouts have been huge admirers of Essugo’s performances this season and pursued a deal for the young midfielder. Negotiations for a €22m transfer fee was no obstacle for the Reds who viewed Essugo as the ideal understudy to Gravenberch. Liverpool offered €50k per week to Essugo and were prepared to sign a five year contract to secure his services. Chelsea then put an insane offer on the table giving a six-year contract to Essugo worth €100k per weekThat is ridiculous if true. He currently earns less than £10k/w

March 19, 20251 yr Chelsea make initial contact for Roma’s Mile SvilarROME, ITALY - FEBRUARY 22: Mile Svilar of AS Roma celebrates after victory in the penalty shoot out following the UEFA Europa League 2023/24 knockout round play-offs second leg match between AS Roma and Feyenoord at Stadio Olimpico on February 22, 2024 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by Paolo Bruno/Getty Images)March 19, 2025Serie A side Roma could be fighting a battle to keep Mile Svilar and Chelsea have made initial contact for the goalkeeper.A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with the Serbian and Chelsea have emerged as the latest candidate for the player.Marco Conterio has reported that while a renewal for Svilar seemed done some weeks ago, that isn’t quite the case. His entourage wants a wage of €4 million per season and that has left talks stagnant, even if Roma want to secure the goalkeeper for the long-term future. There is major interest form multiple clubs in Europe, with Chelsea having expressed their interest and have made exploratory contact with his entourage. Quite the same applies to Bayern Munich. So far, Roma’s offer has been lower than €4 million per season but as things stand, the player’s demands have not lowered and things could not get messy.https://www.getfootballnewsitaly.com/2025/chelsea-make-initial-contact-for-romas-mile-svilar/
March 19, 20251 yr Don't we already own Serbia's number one? Who is having a stellar season. What is the point of this signing?

March 19, 20251 yr This is how TransferMarkt have him valued ...Expect Eghbali will swing his undersized brain and oversized bo**ocks into action and bid €40m plus to "see off Bayern Munich" ... probably stick him on €150K a week as well (double what he wants from Roma) Edited March 19, 20251 yr by Sexyfootball

April 1, 20251 yr With all these 17 and 16 year olds we are buying, cough cough. Does that mean we are only going to get really serious about winning premier league in 2026 or 2027 ?When they have all blooded in if that’s the term.I have to say I don’t watch football much anymore am I getting too old to care or is it because of CFC owners?I think I know the answer to my own question and it’s quite disturbing 😳

In 2027 we will have another load of over priced wonderkids with bags of potential.....that will also be flipped.Of course there will be a reducing number of kids and it will become harder and harder to make money off them, because the players with real talent wouldn't hinder their careers at a puppy mill like ours, leaving us with average kids that will have over inflated price tags.

IMO that’s why the chaos ball we played before Maresca got his size 6 and a halfs into the squad worked far better for the squad we have. He’s the wrong manager for this squad of players. I’ll have no issue retracting that statement if he turns it around but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
