we do well with talent up til the age of 20, then there is no root into the first team. I think some of the players weve let go could have turned out better had they been shown a little faith.

At the moment theres only stoch, tore and borini who I think could have developed into better players. but we now have 5/6 of the best prospects in Europe who I believe have the ability to make the first team.

I also don't think Moses blocks KDB that much. Yes, he's a good player, but KDB by all accounts is better, we could use another player or two at that position anyway (we've got three stars and one solid backup for three attacking midfield slots - unless we expect the Three Amigos to stay this healthy every season, I don't think having six players for three slots is outrageous, especially when Oscar, KDB, and Schurrle can also slide into other positions in a pinch), and Jose has track record for dropping people with Premiership experience when a talented youngster looks better in preseason.

 

Given the quality, KDB should become an automatic choice before Moses.

 

And what do we need Schurrle for ?

Already got Piazon and Thorgan Hazard on loan. If required one or both of them should be recalled for next season. I'd prefer to chose from players we already got instead of signing new ones.

Mata, Hazard, Oscar, KDB, Moses, Piazon, Thorgan Hazard and Marin (that's 8 options for 3 positions) are more than sufficient midfield options and easily enough cover for any injuries. The likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and City would be drooling for such a midfield yet people here talk about signing some more.

For me, De Bruyne's best position by far is in central midfield. Playing him on the wing would be such a waste in my opinion and signing Schurrle has no correlation whatsoever to KDB's development at Chelsea.

I admit he has a bit of Gerrard to his game but I would take him at a heartbeat over Shurrle for a place in our squad.

 

We we live to regret the day if we sell De Bruyne to a German side and buy Shurrle.

 

It's clear to the many genuine german friends I have in Munich De Bruyne is hot property whilst Shurrle is not wanted

by any other team in Germany.

 

Not another MarIn by a long way but it is a concern.

German Journalists on Twitter now saying that Jose will decide what happens to De Bruyne. The Times were saying that they expect KDB to be in the squad next year. Surely Mourinho will want KDB? One of the hottest talents in Europe and an IMMEDIATE upgrade on Moses and the the junk we have in Marin and Benayoun.

What strikes me most about that video (other than the quality of his passing), is the finishing. He seems to know what touch the ball needs to beat the keeper.

Haz probably, but you are right. You can easily skip a few passes in the midfield with an accurare one touch pass.

Cause speculation is what we do on here most of the time and the above was my speculation. Just something I could see happen and something I believe we would regret should it happen.

 

We do tend to have a history of preferring to buy the already ready made star player rather than nurturing our own. Though at least Oscar is a recent example of this not being the case.
