Bender is a better fit for Chelsea than Gundogan, as Subotic is a better fit than Hummels.

Can just imagine Luiz and Hummels in the same defence. Might look classy but they would concede most games and no Chelsea fan would have clean pants!

Can't make any sense of the deal if its true. Dortmund are a better & more balanced team than us at the moment, & our loan player is deemed good enough for them, but not good enough to make our first team. Makes no sense & I will be pissed if we turn around & pay £22m for Schurrie.

Chelsea is run like a f**king cash and carry

I haven't seen enough of either Gundogan or Bender, however the point you made about Luiz and Hummels is absolutely spot on. Can't believe that some of the posters on here who aren't satisfied with Luiz state that they would like Hummels to sign for us.

He is the German Luiz, only not as good.

Edit: Just want to clarify that I think Hummels is an excellent player, but I do rate Luiz that highly.

Double Edit: If g3.7 reads this post, I'm a dead man!

Having watched the Bundesliga highlights show on ITV4 every Monday since January I will be so gutted if we sell KDB. Not only is he an exciting talent but currently he is much better than Moses and the trash in Marin and Benayoun that we have backing up Mata, Hazard and Oscar. Not only that, I think that KDB has the skillset to play as a box-to-box midfielder, another area of the pitch in which we lack depth.

IF this is part of a swap deal for Gundogan or Lewandowski then I can live with it. But otherwise I'll be disgusted as it will simply signify a continuation of the same irrationality and short-sightedness from the top that we've seen over and over again.

It would be damn shame if KDB isn't at least given a f*cking pre-season to show what he can do. Let's not forget that KDB was keen to join Chelsea and no one else given that he has relatives that have settled in Ealing. This is a kid with the potential to be a solid contributor for us for a long time.

I'm not believing this until something more official comes out, or rather, don't want to believe it because I'm a fan of KDB.

Makes no sense unless we're seriously courting 1 or 2 of their players as previously reported. Hope it's a crock of bullsh*t.

Well its only a contractt agreement. Chelsea hanst agreed to sell him yet. Theres still a possibility that hes back. If not I really wouldnt mind getting Lewandowski as part of a swap

Totally agree.  He's also a fan of Chelsea, like Lukaku, and had his heart set on coming here.  I remember watching him talk about it in an interview when he was still at Genk.  We finally uncovered one of those hidden gems.  I have faith that the club isn't going to mess it up, because our transfer business has been much better in recent years.

Edit: I forgot to add that it seems like Eriksen is joining Dortmund to replace Gotze.  If true, hopefully that'll weaken their interest in KDB.

Yeah, that was the point I was trying to make. Like Lukaku, it seems like he already had an affiliation of sorts to us, which can make a big difference for a foreign player trying to settle over here.

Please dont f*ck this up Chelsea.

I am appropriately furious. I think you should look in the mirror and think about the distress you've caused.

Why would we sell KDB to Dortmund when he's such a promising player and has done so well in his last 18 months, at club and international level?

Because he did not cost 20M pounds.

Well, if it's 15/20 mill plus KDB for Gundogan and Lewandowski I will be happy.

If not, its stupid business.

not a chance, and quite frankly that would be a steal of the century

Exactly, don't Dortmund like a good buy out clause? I don't think lewandowski has one but Gundogan?????

Dortmund want De Bruyne and the Spanish giants want the best keeper in Spain on our books.

This is the problem in loaning players abroad when the come an immediate success they become a bargaining tool.

It is not beyond the thoughts of truth to think Shurrle's departure hinges on De Bruyne going the other way or if we want Lewandowski Dortmund want De Bruyne as part of the deal.

The same might just apply in the pursuit of Falcao with Athletico wanting Petr Cech's natural successor.

De Bruyne is hot property, many of Belgians believe he will be better than Hazard and one of the worlds best.

I don't see many Germans saying the same thing about Shurrle but they sure do rate De Bruyne.

Both our two loaned out players should be either in Jose's 1st team squad or close at hand on loan until Christmas in the Premiership with a mid table outfit.

What? There is no problem that players become "barganing chips" All the club has to do os say no. Players becomming an instant success is pretty much best case scenario

On the Falcao swap, I always thought there could never be a player swap for him because of this 3rd party ownership, getting a player to Madrid wouldnt benefit them at all so they want straight cash.

I know that the club usually operate regardless of who's in charge managerial wise; however, wouldn't we want our next Manager to at least have a look?

I'd hate to offload KDB to get in Schurlle when there was absolutely no need for that to happen
