Either Pat Nevin or Kerry Dixon for me as those were the 2 most exciting players when I could first really get more from the game as I was about 10.

Ron Harris for me. I guess your answer to this question will largely be dictated by your age. At 51, I grew up in the Harris, Osgood, Hutch, Cooke era and Chopper will always represent Chelsea for me. In his latter years he showed a lot more class than people give him credit for, using his brain more than his studs.

Kerry Dixon.

Oddly, when I read the thread title, first player that sprung to mind was Tore Andre Flo.

No-one in particular really. In years gone by it probably would have been someone like Zola or Terry or Lampard, but at the moment no-one stands out.

Even though I was only a nipper, it has to be Ossie......."Born is The King of Stamford Bridge". The iconic pictures of our No.9 in the old style kit and the sideburns. Scoring in every round of the FA Cup, the statue, etc etc..........

My Chelsea hero remains wee Pat Nevin and then of course you have Zola, JT and Lamps but Ossie is still The King.

Charlie Cooke, Bobby Tambling, Peter Osgood, got me started and I don't thibk I'll ever idolise players like back then (might be an age related thing) Dixon, Nevin, Zola, Wise, Vialli, Gullit.

I could go on and on, but for this particular era its got to be Terry and Drogba.

Wisey when he was here and now to be honest its Lamps. It probably should be JT but Lamps comes to mind.

Thinking about Chelsea as a concept I'm getting images of Chopper Harris, but as a contemporary force I think of John Terry with Cech and Lampard standing either side.

Present - JT, Lampard and Drogba.

Past - Ray Wilkins, Clive Walker, Ron Harris, Garry Stanley, Micky Droy, Gianfranco Zola, Mickey Nutton.

Gianfranco Zola and Gianluca Vialli.

And I regret that we turned away from their image into what we are now.
