I know May 19th, 2012 is the actual day the European Cup was won by CFC, but I firmly believe The Cup w/ the Big Ears was won on April 25th, 2012. I remember the hype surrounding Barca & how CFC weren't in their class. Then going down to 10 men, still to come out that sh*thole smelling like roses. True winning the Shootout in Deutscheland was the cherry on the cake in a remarkable season that We CFC fans will never forget...never trade away & spudz will remember it was the day they got kicked out of the Champion's League

Ah that Barcelona night!  One of the few important matches I dared watch in the pub (I take it too seriously to watch with neutrals or anti-Chelsea).  But my stream died so it was that or nothing.  The pub was busy - not with people wanting to watch the match but because there was a bowls match on - the green adjoins the pub.  But more and more people started watching.  At the end the landlord shouted "drinks on the Chelsea fan!"  What a night!

No - he was only joking!  He was alright - an Evertonian so shared my view of Liverpool!  It's a local village pub and I knew a lot of the people in there - it was just banter.

 

This was the sign the landlord put up in the pub before cup final day that year.
