Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST

I find out it's penalties, and about 8 minutes later, my Dad rang me and started cheering (he wanted us to win)screaming that we won and I didn't know what to do. I just started running back and forth randomly outside. God knows, the neighbours must of thought I was on drugs.

Imagine if your Dad was on a wind up and taking the piss.

The funny thing about that Liverpool thread is, they had nothing to lose or gain, Spurs I can understand why they were furious, as for the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle at the time I did see a few fans pretty graceful about Chelsea winning it and some Spurs. Barely saw any Liverpool fans congratulating us, the most bitter and snide fans in football.

tbf if the boot was on the other foot, I don't think I'd be lining up to congratulate them either!

In all fairness I'd be pretty annoyed if Liverpool won the Champions League again. I don't want them to win anything, even when they win the Community Shield or something entirely irrelevant like that it grates a little bit.

Even when Man Utd (a team against whom I hold no particularly personal grudge, certainly not compared to the likes of Tottenham, West Ham etc.) were totally outclassed by Barcelona in the 2009 and 2011(?) finals I took quite a bit of joy out of it. Pure schadenfreude of course, but somehow I just can't will on another English team in Europe.

The exceptions were when Middlesbrough or Fulham somehow got to the UEFA Cup/Europa League Final, but that was just funny. Would love to see Everton win the Europa League this year come to think of it, I want to see Leon Osman go down in the history books.

When we won it I came to work on the Monday and first thing a Liverpool fan said to me was "wasn't the right way to win it". I just said lI don't care how we won it, end of the day were European Champions" and walked off. Just shows how jealous they are.

Also a Gooner said something to me about playing that way wasn't good and that you can't finish sixth in your league and be considered Europe's best. Again I just said to him "I don't care we're European Champions".

As we're all doing a highlight of our day of the game. Woke up at 6:30 in the morning because of nerves which meant another 13 hours till kick off. Couldn't eat all day and had a massive headache.

Went to my friends house to watch the game was alright until Muller scored which I just thought was game over. Drogba then smashed one home with his head and the place erupted, everyone their was a Chelsea fan apart from one hammer who wanted us to win and one Spurs fan who evidently didn't.

It got to the 112th minute and I couldn't withstand the pressure anymore so I had to go outside and walk around for a long while until the game and penalties has done.

I rang my dad who supports Liverpool to under no circumstances ring me about the penalties or what happened during them, I just wanted to check sky sports or BBC as I thought it'd be the best way to find out we lost as everyone knows how poor we are at penalty shoot outs.

At this point my headache has been lifted totally, went home and watched the penalty highlights with the biggest smile on my face. I was devastated after Moscow, cried my eyes out but this more than hell made up for it.

What a night.

Do you regret not watching the pens?

Man I was a bag of nerves when Drogba stepped up I just prayed and said please let us win, I can't face another heartbreak. When Drogba slotted it in I went mental, my bro rang me and I just started crying. I couldn't believe we'd done it. I actually watched the game on ITV as I'd watched the 2008 final on Sky when we lost so I thought it was bad luck. Funnily enough I don't really remember the ITV commentary but saw the Sky commentary after and it just stuck.

When Drogba's penalty went in I just sort of slid forward onto the floor whilst my dad ran out into the garden shouting.

I went out the room for the penalties aswell, I watched them in 08 and well you know. So I went out the room paced up and down and my brother came running to me crying and cheering.. Ahh memories.

When a couple of colleagues said that to me, I just went "Uh-huh... and WHO has that cup?" That was enough :-)

Rich coming from a Liverpool fan considering they've been outplayed in damn near every final they've ever been in and nicked a load on penalties.

That thread really just sums up Liverpool's fan base. As soon as Muller scored my Liverpool supporting friend text me "Muller yesss", only for him to hang up when I screamed Drogba down the phone four minutes later. As soon as he saw me two days later he said "Come back when you've won it five times", typical.

Very strange that on that thread someone described it as the most undeserving European Cup win ever, which is just baffling. We topped the group, came from 3-1 down to go through in the knockouts, beat a Benfica side home and away that had helped to knock United out, beat the best team in world football at our ground then holding to firm to draw at their ground, then won in the final at Bayern's OWN GROUND.

But I suppose the most deserving one ever is that one time where Milan started drinking champagne at half time and didn't turn up for the second haf

Love it

Haah excellent point, I wish I'd thought of that.

I think i barely moved from my seat during this game. When Muller scored as late in the game as he did my heart and head sank. When Drogba scored the equalizer i was motionless, i was sure the ref or the linesman was going to rule out the goal for some reason. My brother, who is a Man United fan, cheered out loud though. When it went to penalties i just laughed to myself because i just couldn't imagine a German side losing to an English side on penalties. When Drogba scored his penalty, me and my brother went nuts. After a couple of minutes i calmed down a bit and sank to my knees, the match messed me up, i was completely drained.

I honestly don't think i will ever experience anything like what i went through throughout this match ever again. It was crazy.

I have three different versions of it on my DVD hard drive. ITV, Sky, and Chelsea TV. I also watched the game on ITV while recording it, then I recorded the Sky and Chelsea TV ones afterwards when we'd won it.

I thought we were dead when Muller scored. Up pops Drogba, then I was stood up until after we lifted big ears.

I remember when Cech saved from Olic that just before the kick I wrung my hands together then rubbed the back of my head hard...so I did it at exactly the same point for the rest of the pens...job done.

We've got a big mirror on the wall in our front room, as Drogba slotted the winner in, I happened to turn in that direction and saw the reflection of me with my hands on the side of my head, and I just said to myself 'we've done it' lol

I knew I wasn't going to sleep much so instead of going to bed and tossing and turning I lay on the sofa and watched the Sky highlights they broadcast about midnight.....twice :-)

I recorded the matches too and I've also got the habit of buying the newspaper the morning after when we win any final and keep it. I still got the newspaper when we won the league under Carlo Ancelotti in 2010 :D

Me too! Hopefully we'll be buying one on May 25th this year.

I have several A3 sized scrapbooks filled with with the back pages (back and front) of every English newspaper after the following trophy wins:

The league in 2005, 2006 & 2010

FA Cup in 2007, 2009, 2010 & 2012

CL in 2012

Europa in 2013

Carling Cup in 2007 & 2015

My pride and joy.

I will say I didn't buy any papers after Moscow...
