Always liked Meireless felt he was abit underrated tbh

I wasn't too keen. I thought he tried to hit too many Hollywood balls. Probably learnt that off stevie g! He never shirked a tackle though and he was a real work horse.

I was just starting to warm to him when we sold him. I seem to recall he playewd really well in a midfield 2 with Mikel one game, possibly against Newcastle, then we sold him a few days later.

I wasn't a fan of Meireles either but he did us proud in Barcelona, as well as scoring that late cracker to make the game safe v Benfica. I enjoyed that post of his.

I will remember those hand gestures forever.

I like Raul, gone as quickly as he arrived but will forever be an integral part of blues history.

He wasn't a great player, but was always solid and had a good shot in him (wish some of our current players would take more shots). It may just be me projecting it and imagining it, but when I watched him play he always had an aura about him in the sense that he was a good character to have on your team and helped with the team spirit. Worked hard in most of the games I saw him play in too.

I remember a pre-season game last year when we played Fenerbache and Meireles came and sat on the bench with the Chelsea team. Proper chap.

Seems to be commentating over the highlights so he knows what happens. Takes all the drama and anticipation out of it.

Tyler and Neville's commentary of that game is second to none.

Terrible behaviour, rival fans just use to as a stick to bash us all with and even claiming moral high ground like some of their travelling support have never done anything bad abroad, pathetic all round.
