Our Youth on Loan

Nottingham Forest have released the following statement on behalf of Nathaniel Chalobah following an alleged incident during last night’s match at Millwall.
At half-time, the on-loan Chelsea midfielder told Forest’s deputy manager Ned Kelly that he believed he was subjected to racist chanting from a section of the home support in the first half.

The 18 year old, who claims to have been initially subject to verbal abuse from the same section after receiving treatment for an injury in the opening minutes, was upset by the alleged abuse and struggled to keep his concentration during the interval as a result.

Nottingham Forest treat any incident of this nature extremely seriously and will be liaising closely with the relevant authorities in their investigation of this issue. Both clubs are in communication regarding the alleged incident and hope to uncover the truth as quickly as possible for all concerned parties.

EDIT: Rory Smith from the times, says he's been released, although NFFC don't appear to say so in their statement...

can a mod change the title?  :blush2:

Piazon added two more goals today in a 3-2 victory over NAC Breda today. He is playing really well at the moment. I know it is in the Dutch league so we should take his success with a grain of salt but he looks like a young Ronaldo.

And Bamford scored yesterday in a 2-0 victory over Wolves. Hope he can make a move to the Championship in January!

It is a shame that Josh isn't going to make it, but I think too many had incredibly high hopes for him.

Of all our youth on loan right now, I am struggling to think of who would all even make it to the point where they have a chance to break into our first team.  Lukaku was playing first team, so I'm not including him in this train of thought.

For me, I think Piazon is going to be a victim of circumstance, as he'll not be able to make it into our team with the likes of Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Mata all ahead of him.  Same could maybe be said for T Hazard.

Chalobah has done well, but again I think he's going to find a regular place in a Championship side more appealing than trying to come back to Chelsea.  Although I'd certainly not be against him and Van Ginkle being added to the midfield roster.

PVA is a great young player, but I can't see him coming back.  Especially not if we sign Shaw or give Cole a 1 year extension.  If we don't sign Shaw, and we don't give Cole an extension, then MAYBE we could see Bertrand and PVA as our LB's....but that's highly unlikely.

Right now, I wouldn't be against us recalling Patrick Bamford and seeing what he can do.  Lad is scoring that many goals they're calling him Bamfinho.

Anyeone think of any other youth team player that may have a chance?

Only one who has a real chance is Piazon and like you say, there's just no room for him. I will be gutted when he leaves.
