I'm not sure that Jovetic would actually leave Fiorentina this season; he previously turned down the opportunity to head to Juventus (although they're rivals of Fiorentina).

Speaking of potential hidden gems, why not look at Falcao's compatriot Jackson Martinez? He's scoring for fun with Porto, he's a fairly good finisher, he's not bad in the air and he displays good movement around the box. Admittedly, Liga Sagres is not the best league ever, but it beats spending 50 million pounds on underperforming strikers.

I think we should seriously consider calling time on Torres, given his struggles even with several talented midfielders behind him. Sturridge is not a great alternative given his lousy finishing, but he is a more instinctive striker than Torres is nowadays. I agree that we need another striker.

Huntelaar is not particularly fast nor hard working. Like Sturridge he can also be selfish. Give him service however and he's often lethal - he will receive good service from the likes of Mata, Hazard and Oscar. We could do worse than consider him given the price.

How good is this Jovetic?

Fiorentina's best player - bear in mind that Fiorentina are 4th in Serie A now and have been impressive in recent weeks. He's an impressive all-round striker: reasonably quick, a decent finisher and an excellent dribbler with good off-the-ball movement and the ability to play in his strike partners.

His only flaws are his relative lack of aerial prowess and perhaps strength.

I would also add that he can play anywhere in the final third, so he'd be perfect in a fluid formation, which Chelsea is aspiring to.

Jackson Martinez is nowhere near good enough and he is already 26. He's a decent finisher but has very little else to his game. Would be better off with Lukaku.

I'm leaning towards Llorente myself, I can't think of anyone else as good that would be as cheap. Wages shouldn't be a problem either considering the cheap transfer fee.

The only problem with Llorente is his lack of recent form and confidence, given that he's been frozen out by his club.

He's a wonderful all-round striker when in form though.

Not a fan of Llorente at all aka the Spanish Andy Carroll.

I've seen him have some great games, but a few people who watch more of him said the same to me.

I like the idea of getting in Leandro Damiao, works well with Oscar & a beast.

have any figures been mentioned in regards to damiao? i dont think hes worth more than 30m. but somehow i feel internacional will ask for more. and in that case i think it would be better to go for falcao.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what we think, does it? Roman will decide who goes and who comes in.

We can still speculate n give our two cents, personally I think a striker will come in in Jan but no one out

the man has spoken. please, close down the rumours section of this website. thank you

he's everything andy carrol should be, and he's very good with his feet, and not just for a big man (i hate that phrase though)

He is a pure finisher though, few better inside the box. Like you say, give him service and he'd be lethal. He'd get that here no doubt. We're creating chances, just not finishing them. Is Llorente not more of a target man? I have seen very very little of him, but most his goals seems to come from crosses, not through balls or balls to the feet. He is an option though as someone other than cahill and luiz being a threat from corners and FK's isn't a bad thing.

Like I said though huntelaar is cup tied, so he's almost definitely ruled out for January.

Because hes a CFC player you plastic c**t. Im not going to pretend Im happy with his performance, but whenever he pulls on the shirt you can be damn sure Im supporting him and hope he does well....

Just.. WOW

Just.. WOW

Wow what? Any real fan will support whoever is playing for his team, be it Torres, Falcao or Mickey Mouse. You don't have to like him much, or even want him still in the team but he's a Chelsea player for Christ's sake, do your best to support him while he's still playing for us.

As for Llorente, I think he's more than just a target man, he seems very good technically for his size. I've said before that Di Natale might be a good short term option. He's a very good finisher and still has some pace, but I doubt Udinese would let him go at this time.

He would be very short term though wouldn't he and Udinese won't be letting him go on the cheap despite his age. Personally if we don't go for Falcoa I think Huntelaar would be the best option. The man is a born finisher and because of his contract status would be relatively cheap.

I dont think Torres could ever complain about the support he has recieved on the pitch. but that doesnt meat we can't point out that some of us don't believe his performances on the whole have been good enough and there is better availible.

People keep saying ignore the price its not his fault. I'm not blaming him... but for 50 million i want goals galor, I want some one that is going to scare the sh*t out of deffenders, other wise why spend 50 million? is that still what we want? I presume so in which case its not what we have

Can anyone please tell me why they still support Torres(dont give me the "he is a CFC player")?

Why do we support Torres? simple really, I am surprised that a clever boy like you had not realised it, we have only two strikers in the squad, going under the name of Sturridge and Torres, because they are both Chelsea players and as such they get our totally support, Simple really, they maybe not be doing a great job between at the moment, but they are doing a job for Chelsea, that will do for me, and until such time they get replaced, can you imaging what the opposition would make of it if we were to boo and hiss then, I am sure they would just love that.

Neither Torres or Sturridge will get us the title, we need a world class striker to come in pronto.

Utd have Rooney, RvP, Welbeck and Hernandez, could go on about City as well while we are stuck with Torres and Sturridge, surprised the club did not realise what problems this could be before the season kicked off.

Falcao is only a fantasy signing at this rate and frankly I dont know where we should look, Damiao perhaps?
