Torres is not the same player he was at Liverpool and doesn't get the same kind of service like he did from Gerrard. To give him his due he has tried to adapt at Chelsea improving his link play, passing, crossing and in addition helping out in defence. I can't see Benitez getting the best out of him. If Roman is looking for a return on his investment perhaps he should send Torres to Atletico and bring in Falcao.

Well unfortunately when management thinks 2 ST's is enough to compete for winning the league, you have to "settle" until the next transfer window opens to fix the problem.

Stupid board. I said in the summer that this would happen and i was mocked and now you are all seeing what i say months ago.

I have lost all hope in Torres now....Even if he scores again, i have little confidence that he will kick on into any kind of consistant form. too many false dawns...to little end product.

How much could we sell him for? Does anyone think we will get 10 mill? 20 mill? Honestly, on current performance i think he looks a 2 - 5 million player at most. If we get any more, then it will only be because of his name.

Unless he is included in some kind of swap deal then i dont think we will be able to sell him. I think he will be loaned out like Veron and Crespo and Sheva were until his contract is out. Who would want him now? Who would pay money for him now? Not only that he is on massive wages so who would want to take that on? I would think we will have to loan him out and pay part of the wages.

I might of been pissed on wednesday during the fulham game, but i'm sure i saw Torres look decidedly pacey chasing a ball towards the corner flag, could be wrong, just me trying to spin a positive....

It's a huge joke that when all excuses are exhausted people go 180 degree turn on their opinions and their new radical idea is something which was tried when Torres first got here and did not lead to anything positive for both Torres or the club.

You seem to be taking this personally. Who's making excuses? My thought of trying 2 strikers isn't about making Torres more effective for his own good. It's an idea to get more goals into the back of the net for Chelsea.

Would it work? Don't know. It's just a thought. And since we haven't scored in 3 games, I'd be willing try something different, if it were up to me.

Probably true, at this point. But it's not happening in the next month, and if I had to guess, not happening in January either. I think we'd all rather have Falcao up top, but in the meantime, I'd really like Benitez and company to figure out a way for us to win some games. And like it or not, that means figuring out a way to get Torres to chip in some goals.
