see what Jimmy Floyd said on bbc today, give that man a pair of boots, more chance of him finding form first

Rafa Benitez: "Fernando Torres is scoring a lot of goals in training." I'm not surprised. He's playing against Chelsea's defence.

I've always liked Fernando Torres and he's one of my favourite players, but Chelsea doesn't suit him and he would be better off leaving and going back to Spain. He's been at the club for 22 months which is pretty much 1.84 years and he hasn't performed to the level we've expected of him. I've seen glimpses of his old form during rare moments, but he hasn't looked like the player we all hoped for when we first signed him. To be honest, I advocated for his signing even though he was struggling at Liverpool at the time. I thought sometimes a player of such a high calibre needs a fresh start elsewhere and I thought he and Drogba would have a dominant partnership. I've stuck by Torres throughout the times when he's been bagged by others in the last 22 months, but there comes a point where you cannot defend him anymore. He hasn't adapted to Chelsea and I think he knows it.

He's lost his pace, his positioning on the ground is awful, his confidence and morale is at an all-time low, the playing style Chelsea initiates does not suit him and the support around him isn't great either. I just wonder whether Torres would have been a much better player if he was playing for us 5 years earlier. I guess we'll never know.

It's sad for Fernando that his career is at the crossroads, but I think he needs to move to rejuvenate himself. Sometimes things don't work out according to plan.

Completely agree.

A lucky deflection for the first and could have gone anywhere after hitting his shin for the second

Agree with this.

I would also expect any half decent striker to have scored the chance he had in the last few minutes when he tried to chip the keeper.

I completely disagree. Give me Sheva over Torres every day of the week.

No chance.

Two clinical strikes, the first he plays a sublime one-two off the keeper and prods home, and the second was even better with a fantastic shinner into the net.

Damned if he does, damned if he don't.

Best to just part ways, the fans here have already decided it's too late no matter how many he scores.

Arse, shin, shoulder, knee, foot, head they all count.

Agreed.

Couldn't care less how they come, it's how often they come for Torres which is the problem.

If that was Falcao you'd be saying "Great run in the first place, deserved his luck and showed good composure" and for the second "It was a great poachers goal"
