Not at all I could start a thread right now telling everyone how wonderful he is!

Instead some Northern twat comes on here and gives us some stats that mean nothing and the likes of you get your dick in your hand about it!

rant over!

Top f**king post!

That's the point- we all know Torres has not cut the mustard, we really don't need a brand new thread with someone hand picking stats that serve their purpose in an attempt to try and be the funny man, I find it boring but never the less if you insist on doing it there is alreday a Torres thread, why not do it in there....?

I could easily write an equally rubbish post comparing Torres scoring this season to say,  Rooney, Aguero & Podolski  for example and make it sound favourable, but it would be as equally pointless as this thread.

What ever you say or what the reasoning is for positive or negative he hasn't scored enough. End of story.

But I don't blame Torres himself. He's worked his arse off. He's tried building the game, being a target, running behind the line, defending corners, running the wing and yet he can't shoot the ball in the net. He's done everything but score goals. He's scored some but half of what he is capable of.

As said before the whole deal was rotten from the start. He just isn't perfect fit for Chelsea. Even if we bought him for £10mill you can say he hasn't been a success.

I think same. He played for average middle-table teams as Atletico and Looserpool where he was kind of non-disputed chief of staff along with Gerrard indeed. At the Bridge he has had to handle with circumstances beyond his previous experiences as a team player.

I wouldn't class that as a big game or a big team, it would fall into the category of the handful he's got in other games.

Well they beat us at the Bridge last season didn't they....

how about a thread on How many Top trophies he has, instead of this senseless bashing, How about, "Hazard isn't quite as good as we originally thought he was" or a hundred page thread on Amazing fact torres isn't as quick as he was at 21, this will be a sad forum when FT goes.. ;-)

Since signing for Chelsea I have come to reason Torres is a modern day Dave Mitchell with a 50m price tag

When did you sign for Chelsea?   :shok:

Thats was a bit harsh.

I really don't buy into this whole important game thing. Every goal in every game is important! To expect your striker to score in every game against other top sides is unrealistic and normally the top strikers end up scoring the occasional goal in the big games but they top up there tally with 2 or 3 against weaker sides.

I think we were spoiled with Drogba who always seemed to score against the bigger teams in the important games but let's face it he was a 1 off and it will be a long time before we see his likes again.

I think we have been spoiled with a lot of players who have contributed with goals, Robben, duff, lamps, anelka, malouda and I bet there are more. You look trough our leading goal scorers this season and Cahill is third which is worrying. People just notice it more with strikers because it is what they are paid to do

A bit different between not reading someone ranting about Torres and someone throwing out personal insults.

If you didnt like it, you didnt have to read it. Is that how that works?

This is my point, it just doesn't matter, a lot of people seem to focus on Torres game after game. He is playing for us, we have no other out and out strikers so there is nothing anyone can do.

I agree.

I don't see Benitez replacing Torres with Sturridge because he's a stickler for discipline. Sturridge needs to develop a good understanding with his team mates and he needs to show maturity on the ball if he intends to impress Rafa. However, I don't believe that will happen and Danny's future at the Bridge looks bleak. More than likely he'll end up elsewhere. I believe Rafa will get the best out of Torres and I expect some consistently good performances from Fernando over the next few weeks.

If we still had Kalou would he be starting up front right now? Now there's one which makes me ponder...

At any other big club, would Torres still be here. Hell Liverpool got rid of Carroll and they're not even a 'big' club anymore. Would Torres get such treatment if the coaches weren't under such pressure to play him..
