Thought Hazard had his best game for weeks - though they were very poor and seemed like they were here for the day trip. Hard to judge really.

It was a good game for Hazard last night - weak opposition granted but showed more guile and more of his initial form. Mata was great as usual. Luiz prospored in the pivot. Torres stopped sulking - mine goes to........Hazard

Difficult one,

Hazard (looked back to early season wizadry)

Mata (kept things moving up front in his usual suave manner)

Torres (scored two and looked sharper than he has in a long while)

Luiz (a complete revelation as one of the 'pivot')

Hazard for me, looked dangerous the whole time.

Surpised that folk are suggesting Hazard. He was better last night than he has been of late but I thought he was still very average and I lost count of the times where I shouted at the TV as he had beaten his man but then passed it to a shirt which wasn't blue. He really has become a frustrating player IMO and in Morinho's days, Joe Cole got hauled off early for better performances than Hazard's last night.

I am sure he will come good but that was nowhere near a MOTM performance for me.

Only caught the second half, so I'm going to have to go with Hazard. This lad is f**king brilliant. I'm not sure I've seen him have a bad game. Even when we've played badly he's always been ok.  And when he has a good game he is world class. And he's only 21. Cant' wait to see how good he is in a couple of years.

If you are being serious, then you clearly haven't been watching too many games.

I'm being deadly serious. I've watched almost every game. Only missed the first Shaktar game, Community shield, Wigan, Reading and Spurs. Hazard has been our best player this year, behind Mata and maybe Ramires.

Not a flawless performance, but it was great to see Hazard running at players, sometimes as many as 2 or 3 at a time and usually coming away with the ball, thats more what i thought we were getting with him and i hope he'll start being more consistent.

For that i'll give him my vote, despite that piss poor penalty. It reminded me a lot of Mata's in the CL final. Clearly with our penalty takers we've gotta go with power over those who are more skillful, stick with Lamps and Luiz.

After Hazard i'd say Moses had a great game, Luiz and Mata also had good games. Torres had a good game by his low standards but again he was pushed around far too easily numerous times and had a poor first touch losing the ball on numerous occasions. He's gotta stop going over every time he gets a shove and start giving it back, because refs aren't going for it.

As much as this club can frustrate the balls off me, it's a damn pleasure to watch Mata and Hazard play when they're on fire.  Is it just me though or does Hazard have absolutely NO left foot when he's running with the ball?

I really hope Benitez tries Luiz in a midfield role more often. Dangerous going forward, can tackle and jockey well, has a decent pass and gave a few hopeful balls to Torres.
