As harsh as it may sound, cechs injury could actually help out Jose. He can bring courtois back as number one for the start of the season and have cech as number 2 to regain his fitness with much less pressure on Jose and courtois.

From the interview I got the impression that he didn't want either keeper to play 2nd fiddle to the other - which is entirely fair.

it'll be difficult accommodating Cech  and Courtois - they are the best goalkeepers in Europe.  I wonder what Cech wants?

Got to give it to Courtois now, got to make these decisions with our heads not our hearts, Cech has been fantastic for us, the best keeper we have had at our club so far, but Courtois is something else.

 

Wouldn't be fair to Courtois if we didn't give him the role after his incredible season, he has been doing so well, it wouldn't seem right if we told him to stay there for another 2-3 years, he has got nothing left to prove.

At the risk of sounding daft, depending on cech's recovery we might be wise to put him up for transfer. This might be the last chance to get a decent return on fee. Court is ready to start and finish his career in chelsea blue. Blackman is a good enough third keeper and possibly we could secure the backup position with somebody in their late 20's to provide insurence for court. Cech does not and should not be sitting on the bench and would be happy for him to play in a cl squad somewhere outside of England. Be a shame if we did a pepe reine and loan him out disrespectfully as pool did...

As good as Cech is it's clear this kid is already just as good if not better and can only improve.
