February 13, 201610 yr Give the guy a break he's head isn't turned anywhere from watching him it looks like he doesn't want to extend his groin as normal hazard would be very explosive in his movement I think he just want to ease himself back into full match fitness. He's slowly getting back to full fitness I don't think he will start midweek
February 13, 201610 yr With this season's downturn, would Madrid still be willing to put up that much money for him? Would he get much playing time? Madrid can be a pretty unsupportive environment which surely wouldn't be good for him mentally. At this point I think the biggest obstacle is mental.
February 13, 201610 yr he was good today. not great, and clearly not fully fit or fully confident, but good. what makes him a great player, and seperates him from most other players with similar skills, is that he has a brain. even when he's not dribbling he can pick a pass or inject pace into a move when required.
February 13, 201610 yr f**king real madrid buy everyone. We need to fleece em for as much as we can if hazard leaves and invest the money well. Dunno who we would be able to bring in tho. Pisses me off how players find it so easy to leave without helping the club back to where it should be fighting. f**k em.And they treat the players like sh*t when their time is up. The Frank Lampard situation was shameful yet still better than Casillas, Raul, Hierro, and others experienced with Madrid. At least with Chelsea, it's largely limited to the administration. At Madrid the fans abuse and harass the players without mercy. As an example of how petty and mean spirited Real Madrid is, consider this. Iker Casillas gave his heartbreaking farewell speech alone on a Sunday morning. Within one hour, RM had unfollowed him on Twitter. Someone took the effort of logging in to the account on an offseason Sunday morning just to unfollow him. Unfortunately, people in their mid 20s, regardless of occupation, rarely think that far ahead. They're seduced by the paycheck without considering the work environment. In a way it's a lesson that can only be learned through experience.
February 13, 201610 yr He messed up a one on one to score, even if he was 'thinking of Madrid' he should still score that, he must still not be 100% fit. There was this other bit of play where he tried to keep the ball in but couldn't as if there were weights tied to his balls. Also if someone was angling for a move they wouldn't kiss the badge would they? C'mon. Although I still expect him to bust his arse and risk injury against PSG cause that and the FA Cup are the last things we can fight for.
February 13, 201610 yr I think his problem's mainly physical, its not just that he can't score but he can't even beat a man like he used to. Based on current form he wouldn't get anywhere near Madrid's first team so he's better off giving it his all here even if he does want out.

Good today but not as good as Pedro. Eden is not a natural finisher and I think that in itself will hold him back from being truly Grade A. It may even kill a move to Madrid.
February 13, 201610 yr He doesn't seem interested. He was good when on the ball but too often he was out of the game.
February 14, 201610 yr He's not 100% but more on the attitude.. He has this knack of backing down instead of having a go, that's his main problem.. is he too afraid of failing or what?
February 14, 201610 yr Good today but not as good as Pedro. Eden is not a natural finisher and I think that in itself will hold him back from being truly Grade A. It may even kill a move to Madrid. well he certainly scores more than isco does anyway. and probably more than rodriguez too? obviously I agree his finishing could improve, and he could get into the box more often but I don't really look to him for goals- as long as he's being creative I'm happy. I don't know what grade a is anymore. if we're talking about people over the years who have played in a similar role I think the likes of figo are easily within his reach but ronaldinho isn't. in slight mitigation we've only seen him in a properly functioning high level attacking side for six months so who knows. pedro on the other hand is another matter. I want him to be getting 20 a season, or close to that. I was a huge fan of his at barcelona. his biggest strength for me is his making of outside to in runs to get into scoring positions. we saw so little of that under jose that I felt maybe he signed him to play as a disciplined hard working winger rather than an upgrade on schurrle. I'm not sure what hiddink wants from him yet, but one thing's for sure he's lacked confidence and certainly hasn't settled into the team / league (yet).
February 15, 201610 yr If he won't improve till the end of the season we should sell him so we still can get decent money for him. If he stays and continue being sh*t, his price tag will go down.
February 15, 201610 yr "Difficult to say no to PSG, as with all teams capable of winning the Champions League," he is quoted as telling Le Parisien. "Now, PSG is part of this category. And for me, winning the Champions League is the main objective. "But for now, I do not dwell on it." Read more at http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/difficult-say-no-psg-hazard#JoY3OG167qqw4qeV.99
February 15, 201610 yr If he leaves in search of Champions League football following a season where he has been a large contributing factor in not qualifying for Europe next year then I won't be sorry to see him go personally.
February 15, 201610 yr To be honest we are not exactly going to miss him if his recent performances are anything to go by. As FC says Hazard is as much a reason we wont have CL football as anyone else so if he wants that and not help to get us out of a mess he was part of I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. We sell for silly money and bring in players who will work their arses off to get us back to the top.
February 15, 201610 yr If he leaves in search of Champions League football following a season where he has been a large contributing factor in not qualifying for Europe next year then I won't be sorry to see him go personally. Couldn't agree more, I'd much rather him take responsibility for being absent and at least try and get us back into it next season rather than walk away. At the end of the day its very rare for a club outside of barca or rma to hold on to a player of his class for more than four seasons anyway Edited February 15, 201610 yr by Lloyd Jr.
February 15, 201610 yr I love the little fella, and I would love to seem him come roaring back next year, but I think he is gone in the summer. He has won the league here and won't win it with CFC (I think!). Doesn't want to go to Man Utd managed by JM, and so will be sold outside the league. I reckon RM to be honest, but PSG is obviously a good shout. £70M at least! Actually for him personally, and as a football fan, I reckon he will be fired up for the Euros. I think we could see a whole different Hazard there as it usually is like that when you play badly in the league coming into a big national tournament.
February 15, 201610 yr When Juventus were relegated after the match fixing scandal, Del Piero, Buffon and others stayed with the club to get them back into Serie A. Those are real men, proper footballers. Those are the sorts of characters I want to see representing Chelsea, not players who run at the first sign of trouble. If ANY player at Chelsea doesnt want to be here and fight for every ball, every minute of every match then they can go as far as im concerned. Whether it's eden hazard, nemanja matic or anyone else. I'd rather be 16th with comitted players who I feel affinity with and who share my love of Chelsea, than in the champions league with mercenaries who dont give 2 sh*ts about the club
February 15, 201610 yr Sadly those type of players are a dying breed. From a young age footballers these days are motivated by £ and little else. Back in the day's when those players were coming through it was very different and I think it shows. Look at guys like Sterling who Liverpool gave him his big break and allowed him time to develop. He gave them the finger and demanded a move while refusing to train when the club didn't dance to his tune. I'd love to have players like Wise, Zola, Terry, Lamps and Drogba who would fight tooth and nail for this club but I see little of this from what we have now and what is coming through. It's pretty sad actually. Edited February 15, 201610 yr by Chelsbear
February 15, 201610 yr The whole situation reminds me of Robben... So assuming Hazard is off in the summer and we do get bucks for him, who would we like to see come in?
February 15, 201610 yr The whole situation reminds me of Robben... So assuming Hazard is off in the summer and we do get bucks for him, who would we like to see come in? Griezmann.
February 15, 201610 yr I'm signing for the champion's league winner. That's how he announced that he'd be joining us so it's not a surprise that Champions League qualification would be a factor in him deciding whether or not to stay next season and quite honestly I'm not that bothered. What does irk me is that if the guy decided to mentally check-out from this point on because his head was elsewhere, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. He's been awful on the pitch this season but more than that he's been gutless. Actually no. He turned up to the start of the season with plenty of gut (again) looking completely out of shape as he always does. He wasn't the only one but unlike Costa who worked his bollocks off to get fit and is playing with fire and passion, Eden is a shadow of who he was last season. So we're in this new position, where we may actually have to sell a player who we'd rather keep (I think with Robben the injuries and lack of form really meant both parties were happy to move on, unfortunately) because they're looking elsewhere. Our incompetence in the transfer market when buying players over the last 12 months doesn't seem to have seeped into our brilliance at getting the most from selling players so I'm expecting a hefty fee for him. I wouldn't buy a like for like though. I'd actually look to develop Musonda and Kennedy and put that money into a centre-half and a centre-midfielder so we're a more balanced team. Eden was the decisive factor in us winning the league last year because we were pretty much a one-man team in the second-half of the season. He was the difference maker in key games like United and QPR so for that he'll have our great thanks but we'll move on and I think we can be better. So cheers Eden, from all at Chelsea, Nandos, Five Guys, Pizzas Hut, Express and Domino and most of all McDonalds. I'm not Lovin' it but I'll be fine. Edited February 15, 201610 yr by ShedEnder91
February 15, 201610 yr Griezmann. Good call but hasn't he made it clear he has no intention of moving?
February 15, 201610 yr The whole situation reminds me of Robben... So assuming Hazard is off in the summer and we do get bucks for him, who would we like to see come in? 2 midfielders and a centre-half. If we do go for Conte or Allegri (preferably the former) then we might see a move away from inverted wingers. Even if that isn't the case I'd still look to develop Kennedy and Musonda and invest that money into building a better spine for this team.
