Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

I bet either himself or his agent read this type of thread, he probably decided let's score a 50M solo goal this Saturday to shut up those who said Hazard is not as good as Joe Cole or Damien Duff. He's pretty much impossible to stop without fouling if he receives the ball without having to turn around and have yard or 2 space to run into.

And again Hazard big zero in a big match. When he is going to lead the team to victory in such big matches, to steal the show ? He was f***** zero.

Think Eden answered your question on Saturday. Hope you're satisfied?!!

"We could score two or three more goals. We didn't. We keep it for the next game, I think," Hazard added

haha, hazard is such a lovely boy, deserved a bear hug..

One performance doesn't not change the fact he deserves such criticism nor does it make his suddenly consistent so no it didn't shut anyone up. People need to read what's actually been said and stop been so reactionary.

Of course, but it isn't "one performance".  He's having an excellent season.

Too right G4. I've posted in this very thread how it is frustrating when he has off games but this season, those off games have been FAR outweighed by good and sometimes brilliant performances.

We all want our best players to be consistent but there are different levels of consistency. As much as he has had some below average games, we are talking Hazard here - not Oscar!!!

So how many times have you watched 'that' goal...think I'm closing in on my half century

I can watch it until my phone battery drains

That name always makes me chuckle, Garth Crooks.      Is it his real name or a stage name?    If it is his real name, I feel sorry for him to have such a silly name.

It's his villain name.

Correct, Bob!

Is it allowed to write that he's the number one in the Premier League after what I have seen on tv, yesterday and today?

Thierry Henry doesn't think so.

Benny Hill!

Do you know he played in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Luckywerhters.

Henry thinks it's Sanchez. Thoughts?

Bit unfair measuring his consistency on how often he performs like vs Arsenal, if he did that most weeks we would have a genuine chance of winning every single league game in a season.

But he has had a poor run of about 4 matches and deserved to be criticised for those performances. He has had a good season but when he's disappeared he's really disappeared. It's that simple.

Where did I do that? I simply pointed out that he got sh*t for playing badly for certain games which he did. Fact is consistency wise he hasn't been at it all season and that's not him performing at that level he did against Arsenal. Just that he's had games where he's disappeared.

well bobby it isn't that simple because it is a matter of opinion not a matter of fact. for example, I don't agree that he had a run of poor games; liverpool away he didn't get into the game often and second half against hull he struggled but otherwise I haven't seen too much to criticise. more fundamentally, I don't think that a player deserves to be criticised for every poor game or mistake they make- IMO that is immature and unrealistic.

and that is a general view- when you're talking about a player who has done it for the club on countless occasions over the years, lead the club to a title and has been a key player in a side that is unexpectedly top of the league in february, never mind by 9 points, I think that player shouldn't be questioned severely (not necessarily by you in fairness) because he goes a couple weeks without giving an 8/10 performance.

and then when you remember the player is eden hazard, who is an attacking player, and an attacking player who doesn't lean on an outstanding physical attribute to be effective, and who plays nearly every game and takes more physical punishment than any other player in europe, then perhaps even more slack could be cut for him?

I can only imagine what people would be saying in this thread if he put in a performance anything like alexis sanchez' on saturday.

Fair enough, but I think it's as simple as a player plays poorly they get critisced. They play well they get praised. One good performances doesn't make getting criticism for one bad performance wrong and vice versa. There can be factors in why performances are good or bad and they need to be weighed up but these guys are multi million pound professionals and we have a right to praise or critique them. I'm not talking about the extremists who say players should be dropped cause of a few poor games or the ones who because of a few good games get carried away about Balon D'or's and the like. But if they play poorly they deserve to get called out for it. Just because they then put in a performance that is amazing doesn't mean those critoacms in the previous games weren't deserved. That's where I took issue with some of the posts cause he was poor in the games prior espeicllay Hull. It's like when people Big up someone they have to compare him to someone else saying they're better. No just praise them on their qualities and leave it at that.
