Id vote Torres. Hazard was excellent when he came in, Luiz had a very good game and Mata is Mata even though he disappeared for long stretches today. Torres two goals decides for me, that last one was reminiscent of the same type of goal he had against Villa. More please

mata for me. had a great game pulling the strings and very involved. something which really annoyed me in the first 20minutes and in patches afterwards was how lampard would literally be further up the pitch than mata, blocking his space and forcing him to drop deep.

torres was also... good? very... good? he was actually making striker-like movements and looked unafraid to get stuck in or take shots. and even more odd is that he looked to have a genuine skip in his step!

both were great today

No surprises from me on Torres, excellent game battled well, slick movement, a touch of his old silky skills, and a beauty of a bullet header.Terry and luiz very comfortable, usual Mata like excellence, Benny also showed some sublime moments, Cech had a wobble, and Hazard 'jet heels 'wow..

Has to be Mata for me just for his sheer quality on the ball always trying to make something happen and another trademark assist.

Ryan Bertrand had a excellent game didn't put a foot wrong and got forward very well tonight.. that's the best I've seen him play and hopefully coming into form when we need him most with Ashley out.

Not Franks best night, gave it away a lot in the first half.

Couldn't understand why Rafa took Moses off instead of Yossi, thought Moses looked lively and direct and Yossi done sweet fa up to that point, but he done well in the build for the 3rd goal.

Torres for me, closely followed by Mata. Luiz was excellent as well and his passing ability at times is out of this world.

Great game overall. The only disappointment for me is that Lampard didn't score a goal and Benitez is still our interim.

Edit: Almost forgot about Bertrand. I've never believed (and still don't) that he will be good enough to become our first choice left back, but hats off to him for a very solid performance today. His performance against Man Utd was quite impressive as well.

Torres is simply a completely different player with confidence. Something ridiculous really, from pub side player to top class. He even runs faster and more often.

mata was the class act, but given it to torres on the sympathy vote and fact he actually played pretty well, which by his low standards, means he was amazing

motm torres for me. and a quick mention for moses. As we all know certain players are excused when they have a drop in form, especially if they've been at the club for a while.

gotta say I love watching Haz-Mat attacking defenses. Also a shout out needs to be given for Bert. He played excellent IMHO. Cheers!!!

I thought Bertrand had a excellent game, made a great run in the first half and was solid.

Good game from Bert. He was as solid as Dave. Still he needs to be more to be our regular starter and I don't see he has more. He is not the most intelligent player which pretty much stifles his progress to being a world class player or even solid Prem player. Hope I'm wrong.

Bertrand for me. Torres played well too, great to see. Also thought the much maligned Yossi had a solid game as well.

Mata, a class above the rest. Some real special moments when he dribbled the ball away from big crowds of Rubin Kazan players.

Torres, Bertrand, Yossi, Luiz & Hazard all played well also.

Championship player at best - get rid

Had a good game, but I agree. Could see him at Foolham or the like in the future.

Thought Bertrand had a great first half and dare I say he gives us a lot more going forward than Ash. Luiz was great in patches but also very dodgy on a few occassions. Mata was class and quality as usual if not quite on top of his game but MOTM HAS to be Torres. The boy did good, even though many won't be able to bring themselves to admit it!!

Torres for me as he was good in all departments but just to add if the final ball was better we would of slaughtered this lot today.Still pleased with the team performance overall.

Torres gets my vote, looked really up for it, scored two goals and had a part in the third as well.

Other notable performances:

Mata continues to be the fuzzy chinned genius, 2 more assists he must be closing in on a club record of most assists in one season?

Bertrand, looked solid and confident at left back, I am hoping the run of games he gets in Cole's absence is going to see him really step up and make a claim for himself.

Luiz, for me he is now our best defender, he's reading the game well and his lapses in concentration are ebbing out of his game, looks much more effective in this sort of form playing out from the back rather than the midfield.

Bertrand was my motm. Torres had probably his best performance of the season, but Bertrand was quality. I've been saying how he's not good enough and we need to get another left back, but if he can maintain this level of performance I'd be completely wrong.

Although Torres was one of our best players he still made mistakes (second half particularly) which ruined a lot of attacks. For someone who supposedly had no confidence he tries to take on defenders a lot.

I actually thought Mata was quite disappointing again, by his standards.Obviously its not easy when 2 of the 3 around him are Torres and Benayoun, but as Torres did ok I felt Mata should have done better.

Moses and Azpi were good yesterday as well.
