Its a real shame for him that his injury came when it did, we were desperate for a midfielder with energy and he could possibly have made a first team place his own.

Had to be stretcherd off today. Hopefully not serious but I feel just awful for him.

All i've heard about it is that it's his ankle, so it isn't the same injury that kept him out all of last season, however if its ligament damage in his ankle that could see him out for months.

 

Hopefully it's just a knock or a minor twist.

I wondered why he went off in 31st minute. Poor guy needs game time, not to be injured as soon after joining a new club.

Personally I have never seen the hype in this kid. Good player yes but nowhere near Chelsea quality. He does have potential but I don't think he is showing enough to warrant getting shot here. Preseason was exactly that, preseason. Injuries do have a factor but he is young and should bounce back.

He's a fantastic player, unfortunately for him injuries are setting him back.

 

As for his loan at Milan, he's been injured so he couldn't play. Not that I think he would have played much at Milan anyway.

Its strange really because they seems so keen to get him. I think if he hadnt got injured last season he would have really improved but sometimes luck just doesnt go your way.

He impressed me in pre-season, seemed very combative, puts himself about and isn't afraid of a tackle, fairly decent passer as well. I think he's certainly worth giving a shot next season.
