I think Cech is out, can't see the point of have Mark being third choice and possibly not playing a single minute whole season. I know Hialrio did it last year, but he's been here for quite a few years, and just running down his contract ( not his fault by any means)

Schwartzer is 42 and his pal Bosnich has lined him up a cushy job in the media for next year. He's not going to mind being 3rd choice.

Agreed that at 42, Sitting as Chelsea's third choice with the chance to win trophies is a nice job for Mark. Seems like a top bloke.

Best of luck to him if this happens. He's hardly going to see any game time with Courtois and Cech around, plus he seems like a decent chap.

This and the likely departure of Salah makes me think we will bring someone in. I hope its an attacking midfielder.

I'm sorry to hear that, Schwarzer is basically the best third-choice keeper you could possibly hope for.

 

All the best to him though, I thought he served the club well. He proved to be a more than capable deputy in Cech's absence at the business end of last season.

Also that suggests that Leicester might have lost faith in Kasper Schmeichel, or that his injury might be worse than previously feared as I cannot imagine Schwarzer being willing to come to Leicester to sit on the bench.

No offence to Mark but a waste of a foreign place for a 3rd choice keeper. This opens up the possibility of strengthening the squad

I think we're hoping Lineker will arrange some slightly positive coverage on MotD.

Agreed. It made no sense to keep him on with both Cech and Courtois here. We could have just had Blackman as 3rd choice and given Schwarzer's foreign berth to a player who would actually be used.

Full respect to Schwarz, he's sat on the bench as a 3rd choice for almost 2 seasons when he could have easily gone elsewhere. A very good keeper and good luck with whatever he does.

Was a waste giving one of the foreign squad places to our third choice goalkeeper but with the uncertainty over our goalkeepers we needed the contingency I suppose.

Did well when called upon last season and wish him well with his future.
