January 18, 201610 yr I didn't know how to post this video here, but again another stella tackle by Kurt. This is a weekly occurrence & to believe some people think Stones is better than Kurt
January 18, 201610 yr Hard to disagree that these last-ditch recovery tackles Zouma has come to specialise in are impressive, but the frequency with which they are necessary is really quite worrying.
January 18, 201610 yr He still has alot to learn distributing the ball, but he made up for Cahills lack of ability again Terrific young player, still not in the top 2 young french centre backs though According to someone I know who is an avid La Liga watcher, Zouma is. He said Laporte is the best followed by Zouma and then Varane who's growth has been stunted.
January 18, 201610 yr Hard to disagree that these last-ditch recovery tackles Zouma has come to specialise in are impressive, but the frequency with which they are necessary is really quite worrying. well the issue is the fact like it or not, Brana has lost a step & other teams are attacking the CFC right flank. I believe all of Kurt's last ditch tackles were protecting the right flank - it's very apparent to even the causal CFC supporter
January 18, 201610 yr He's doing 2 defenders job right now, covering the right and right centre zone because Ivanovic just not doing his job. I love his last ditch tackles, but hopefully we improve defensively as an unit so he doesn't have to do that 3 times a game. It's high risk stuff.
February 7, 201610 yr im no doctor but zouma's injury looks like a very serious torn acl, i've seen it before as a nba chicago bulls fan and it's f**king painful to see it happened again hoping for some miracle that it turns out to be only a minor knee injury, get well soon kurt! February 7, 201610 yr I'm sure we all wish Kurt every ounce of positive thought and healing power. Here's to a good and speedy recovery for the lad.

He was never the same again. Hopefully we dont have to worry about that with Zouma

Why look so far away from home? Essien tore his cruciate and... well... he was never the same since then.
February 7, 201610 yr First thing I thought was hes done his cruciate, bollocks. My thinking as well mate, really hope we're both wrong, that could really screw up his career.Remember what it done to Essien in his mid 20's Hopefully he can make a full and speedy recovery.
February 7, 201610 yr First thing I thought was hes done his cruciate, bollocks. Same, i'm sure he'll be out for a while. If he's lucky, it will be the same as De Bruyne and he'll only be out for 10 weeks. If it's the bad one then he won't be back until the next season is under way.
February 7, 201610 yr Wait... so that basically leaves us with... Cahill and Terry? Plus an untested and currently injured Matt Miazga?
February 7, 201610 yr Fingers crossed for him, the worry is hes such a big unit that when he returns his knee will need a lot if strength. Edited February 7, 201610 yr by dkw
February 7, 201610 yr well looking at some pictures on twitter, looks like it's a broken leg and not a torn ligament either way it's very serious warning very graphic https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CaoNCUsWwAEWI0o.jpg Why look so far away from home? Essien tore his cruciate and... well... he was never the same since then. didn't watch the ghana game Edited February 7, 201610 yr by havelschayes
February 7, 201610 yr I've been there and done it. I even hobbled off the pitch and drove home afterwards. I fear the worst for the poor lad. I've never really gotten over it myself but I am a fair few years older than Kurt and I didn't have the rehabilitation provided by one of Europes top football clubs. Crossing my fingers for the lad. Just looked at that photo and I still fancy it's ligaments over a leg break. Edited February 7, 201610 yr by Snedger
February 7, 201610 yr Wait... so that basically leaves us with... Cahill and Terry? Plus an untested and currently injured Matt Miazga? could be a blessing in disguise this, as horrible as the injury was- Ivan could be shifted to CB meaning minutes for Baba and Ivan gets to play where he'll most likely end up if Terry leaves Edited February 7, 201610 yr by Haz139
February 7, 201610 yr could be a blessing in disguise this, as horrible as the injury was- Ivan could be shifted to CB meaning minutes for Baba and Ivan gets to play where he'll most likely end up if Terry leaves sorry bro, that won't happen. We will just slot in Cahill. It worked before w/out a hitch. JT & Gary will need to get back in sync w/ each other. Like it or not there is a reason why Dave is on the left & Branna is on the right.
February 7, 201610 yr Hmm, this does look like a torn ACL (more likely) or PCL. Well, it could even be a kneecap dislocation I'm really hoping it's a minor pull or something less serious though. In any case, do rest well and get well soon, Kurt!
February 7, 201610 yr Hiddink has started Zouma in every game since returning to the club as interim manager in December and said the club will know more after an MRI scan. "Tomorrow [Monday] we will know more," Hiddink said of Zouma's injury. "But if you have this injury then it's bad. Let's see. It's a hyper extension and that's always bad. I had the same problem once and it hurts a lot. We will see tomorrow."
February 7, 201610 yr A quick google search... "Mild knee hyperextension may feel sore and uncomfortable and can typically heal with rest in 2-4 weeks. Serious knee hyperextension can cause damage to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and cartilage injuries in the knee, which may require surgery." Depending on how bad it is, could 1-2 months if he hasn't done his ACL
February 7, 201610 yr Weird challenge. Looks like he was planning to head it, then changes his mind at the last second, goes to clear it with his left foot, then is all out of position when he lands. Hope it's not as bad as it looks. We've got a couple of options before we have to play the American kid though. Edited February 7, 201610 yr by Socrates

Like in Brazil, here in the US the footie season is in pre-season mode. You know dude wasn't ready for the Prem, where the footie has been played non-stop since August. Hopefully Kurt can make it back soon. BTW, does anyone else find it ironic that manure scored after Young Kurt was taken off? IMHO Kurt was playing well & even playing well w/ the ball at his feet. I remember one play when Kurt gathered the ball & started a break for Chelsea today. IMHO we will miss Young Kurt. I just hope my love Gary Cahill can get in sync w/ JT. Cahill will have to get use in playing 2nd fiddle w/ JT. Kurt seem to take the role w/out a problem & I think that is why Kurt & JT was better for CFC. we can only hope that this won't be serious as it looked.
