I think it was originally intended to just make fun of MayosNoun and how often he uses it.

 

I haven't kept stats on who uses it, but I have noticed it has been used A LOT lately.

Love this guy. Never seems to miss a tackle. Even the crucial ones.

Rock solid in every single game he played,constantly playing well and finally a young player in the first team.His performances are equal to Dave's who has also been nothing but brilliant.

Hate that the sole mistake I saw from him resulted in NewCastle's first but I think he is the type that it will spun him on not to lose focus like that in a match again.

Everyone is allowed to make mistakes, he had a good game.

Not rock solid and certainly not as good as Dave, he ball watches a few times and seems to lose his man fairly easily on crosses which is odd.

Doesn't matter, he should be clearing it regardless. Any experienced defender would have hoofed it out of the box. He's young and still learning so things like this will happen.

cant imagine ivanovic would have called him to leave it with a striker in front of him. he's in bad form but he aint stupid!

Though he made that big mistake, he did kinda redeemed himself by making that pass to Hazard for the first goal. I don't recall him screwing up or looking nervous for the rest of the game anyway. As others have already pointed out, he is still young and will definitely learn from this.

I think people need to understand that if they want new players to be embedded into the team from time to tine these youngsters are going to make errors. This was the case yesterday with Zouma, hopefully in a similar situation in the future the lad will just punt it upfield.

He's still young, the occasional mistakes are normal, I don't blame him too much for the Newcastle result. He was still one of the better player out of a very pool team that day. I hope Jose won't hold it against him and drop him.

Which just further enforces what we already knew, Crooks is a know nothing fat neck Spud. 

 

Crooks hates JT, he went on TV and absolutely slaughtered him during the Ferdinand trial.... He's basically praising Zouma because it means JT doesn't play. 

 

Crooks team of the week should just be renamed "who scored this weekend." 

Time to bump this thread - I didn't get to watch the match yesterday, but I saw Young Kurt playing RB. Did he looked settled? The guy has been a solid performer this season in the defense & to think he is only 20 years old...Ok he will be 21 next week

Wasn't very good. His positioning was pretty poor, got bailed out by others (Ramires did a good job covering) now and then. His pace makes it for it at times like yesterday where he made a good last ditch tackle but against better wingers/teams he would get exposed quite easily. 

 

Still better than Ivan but I would rather play Baba at left back than Zouma at right back.

He's better than Ivanovic, but I'd prefer move Azpi to right and put Baba left. 

 

Zouma is simply CB, there is no need to put him on right at the moment, he should stick to the CB position and we will get the best of him.

He did well considering he is not an RB but it was a performance that made it clear he was filling in for a RB and not an RB himself.......... Mind you, isnt that pretty much how Ivan became a RB for us?  Feirrera getting on and Bosingwa being so inconsistent (mind you, Bosingwa became very consistent towards the end with us, sadly a consistently poor performer though)and injured?

Yeah he really isnt a viable option at right. Did the best he could, but at his size he was always going to struggle with quick turns stopping crosses. Going forward he is completely useless. Ig Baba cant ve "trusted" to play LB for us any time soon, we hve to buy someone that can.

I'm not a fan of playing players out of position.

Use him at CB where he is naturally suited.

If Jose doesn't trust Baba then it's a farce we spent £20 odd million on him, heads should roll if this is the case.

If we turn Zouma into our very own Phil Jones I'm going to be pissed off. He's a CB with the potential to be one of the best around, keep him there!
