I imagine when the window opens Frank will have an eye out for a new winger and Willian dropped down to the bench.

But everyone thought our last two managers were tossers who knew nothing about football, were just a sulky w**ker or a scruffy old tramp sucking on a number 6. Quote I imagine when the window opens Frank will have an eye out for a new winger and Willian dropped down to the bench. will be off to China for his last big payday, or something like that That's not a very difficult thing to predict, seeing as it will be next summer, and Willian will be what, 48? 49? by then. Something like that. Edited November 13, 20196 yr by yorkleyblue

Personally i wouldn't want to be remembered as a player who could just work hard from time to time. They don't do it as well as Willian imo... He is ridiculously hardworking when he's not sulking as he has been for the last couple of seasons. It was always what stopped me criticising him and made me have soft spot for him. I used to be amazed at the stupid amount of defensive work and running he used to do, even though he's primarily a player who loves to have the ball at his feet and dribble.

Personally i wouldn't want to be remembered as a player who could just work hard from time to time. Willian is 31, of course we need a better player in the long-term. Pedro will probably be gone in January, I'll be surprised if Willian is here next season, but so far this is the best Willian I've seen in a Chelsea shirt. I might be getting ahead of myself, but I like his current form at the moment. He also seems to be a lot faster than he's ever been, he used to always conserve his energy game by game, now he's accelerating a lot more and beating players, it's great to see. When we first signed Willian he was superb for a few months, good rotational option, he was one of the only few good players during the dark Mourinho 3rd season, underwhelming in the title win despite playing every game. He was at his best in Conte's first season, rotational player but always brought an impact off the bench, that was his best role. 2nd season he had two very good months, notably when we played Barca, last season he was underwhelming, and it looked like he was on his way out. This season at the beginning it looked even worse but since we have started on winning ways, he has been magnificent. We need a mixture of experience with youth, it's essential and Willian is playing a massive part. I say give Willian his kudos, but also, not get too far ahead of ourselves, we should obviously be looking for a replacement, a new player to bring in, whether it's January or the summer, Sancho is looking the likely choice now. November 17, 20196 yr Anyway, as for Zouma. I don't want to get ahead of myself by any means, but his last 10 games I would say he's showing exactly why he was one of the highest rated prospects in 2015. A good performance against City and could this mean Kurt has a Chelsea career again?

On his day he's our best CB by a mile - perhaps an exaggeration but I'd even go as far to say when he's on it he's one of the best CBs in the world right now. Over the course of a season however I'd still expect Rudiger to perform more consistently. Edited November 17, 20196 yr by the special one

One thing for sure, it will be an interesting clash of France vs Germany at Cobham for that starting spot in the back four between Zouma & Rudiger. Tomori is a going to remain the first name on the squad sheet for a very long time coming.
November 28, 20196 yr Positionally very poor last night, drifted out to the LB position far too often when Dave was getting back in. Whats the point of having a 6ft 4 brick sh*t house at the back if he's not in the box to win headers. Wouldn't mind seeing Tomori - Christensen next game.
November 28, 20196 yr Tricky one last night for Zouma I guess no Tomori and Apzi on the left. Christensen's' mistimed jump for their first goal partly culpable for us conceding.

Zouma shouldn't be going walk abouts.

November 28, 20196 yr First goal was on James and Christensen in my opinion, James had to react towards the play next to him and Christensen had to cover that area. Zouma wasn't at his best yesterday, but I don't panic too much, he is in great form and deserves to have a bad game.
November 29, 20196 yr How can any defenders be in great form if we’ve conceded 13 goals in the last month? Our defence is incredibly poor all around.

Are you The Real Glenn Hoddle? 🤨 Haha, I'm not though was once called Beckham playing once for a work team in the inter-company five-a-side Down Under and hit a screamer into the top left corner from a half volley. It was kind of strange as everyone stopped and just stared at me. It did strike me later as fortunate the way ball bounced and the time I had. Another time described as being like Lothar Mathhaeus. I just call it as I see it yet good to hear I am in good company as when I was supporting it was during Hoddle's tenure as manager.

Several end up in the English Championship after getting their confidence back.

November 30, 20196 yr He was back to his worst today. He is very fortunate that the West Ham goal was disallowed because that was possibly the worst piece of defending I have seen in a long time. He literally ducked his head as the cross came in for the West Ham player to score a tap in.
