He's also a tough git. Not afraid to throw himself in when the boots and snot are flying. I have always liked strikers like that the Hughes, Shearer, Harford types. Can take it and dish it out.

I don't even think Costa's header was going towards goal, i need to see it again but it looked like it was going straight across the box.

Have seen a lot of costa this season and I've got to say he rarely impresses but you can't argue with the amount of goals he has scored. He is physical and get's stuck in and is one of those players that gets under oppositions skin but if he is on your team you love him. Would be interesting seeing him in the premier league but I certainly wouldn't be splashing anything over 30m for him. I'd prefer cavani but if jose wants costa then I trust him on it.

So does Cavani, there isnt much difference between Costa and Cavani apart from Cavani is a bit more proven.

My problem with Costa is that he has only really emerged as a top class striker this past year or so and he'd maybe a bit hit and miss for us. I'd much rather have Cavani who I think is an all round classier striker. Not adverse to signing Costa and I think getting both him and Cavani is a pipe dream.

There is absolutely no way we can sign both Costa and Cavani in FFP terms. You'd be looking at a combined transfer fee of at least £100million. If we get one of them I'm happy, and it seems like Costa is much likelier.

I feel Costa would be better suited for England from the two. Cavani is a great player but I like Costa's bulldozer-type attitude.

While Suarez is a massive scumbag, an even bigger scumbag that Costa, I think the main reason I wouldn't want Suarez at Chelsea is because he's been a massive scumbag at a club I f**king hate, thus my dislike for him has been intensified over the years, I couldn't go from thinking someone is the biggest c**t to grace a football pitch to all of a sudden support him as a Chelsea player. However, I have no feelings towards Atletico and rarely ever watch them/hear about their players' actions, therefore I don't personally ahve any feelings on Diego Costa's actions. All I know is his goalscoring record speaks for himself and I do personally think that having a mean streak as a striker is very beneficial, it gives the defenders that "Oh for f**k sake I've got to play against that c**t?" feeling which not only works in our favour physically, but mentally.

 

All in all, we need a top striker and from the bits of La Liga I've watched this season along with looking at his stats Costa seems like he could be the man to solve our problems. But with all this being said, if they were both the same price I would take Cavani over Costa.
