Still rather have Balotelli than Costa.

Balotelli is a disaster, disappears too much and he causes more trouble than we think Costa does

We'll see more about that tonight, but I agree both of them are not ideal solutions.

He was so bad last night, And the slight nudge on Martins' head was even worse...

Diego Costa might be a scorer, but his behavior, I don't really think Chelsea need him. I personally prefer other strikers, we have the money to buy Balotelli, J.Martinez, even bring Sturridge back to Chelsea. I don't really think Costa will has a success at Chelsea.

I don't think he played that bad last night all things considered, I agree with Jack class, the club feel he's the best available.

On the numerous occasions I've watchd him, he doesn't really show that star quality.

Not too bothered by his diving, and over aggressive nature, and if he comes ilie have my full support, but this time last year he had a buy out clause of 22m and we didn't go near him, Now it seems were buying the flavour of the month, off the back of a good season.

If he was half the price like immobile, I'd be all for it, but at 32m I'd hope we would be signing one one with a little more quality.

I think this time next year, we will still be looking for a striker to replace drogba. I would absolutely love to be proved wrong!

cant help but feel this is far from being a done deal. doubts over fitness perhaps? wait and see how he performs at the WC given that he's relatively un-proven? all we know is that a medical took place, according to reputable sources, but we havent confirmed his signing yet.

I too agree with jack, we need a change and he is basically the only option available to us, although I would personally prefer balotelli.

He made some good runs, but then fluffed it up every time. Sort of like Torres... but with decent runs.

Disagree he was getting in dangerous areas. Torres actively seems to avoid those same areas.

Yes that is a question of ability and mentality. Not one of a player choosing not to pass when he should and in 90% of other cases would have. Silva should have squared and Costa would have scored.

 

Costa gets in good areas and looks a threat. He'll do fine for us.

Diving for that pen has turned me off him aswell... i hate cheating.
