The Torres that we all know and love. Maybe hasn't as good a touch as Torres but the same clumsy runs and following his marker around. Sorry to sound dissapointed but can see another 4 or 5 years of misery. Looking forward to being proved wrong

It's not positive, but we have to get behind him because he's a blue now.

 

If he brings all of his antics with him then my support for him will quickly disappear.

Unbelievable isn't it.

 

We are the luckiest fans in the world and you still get people 'poo-pooing' the signing saying they are 'gutted' etc.

 

By all means people may be against the signing for whatever reaason but even so it don't half look spolit when we are presented with a striker who had the season he had last year and people are 'gutted'.

Yep, pretty much this. First to admit I'm not convinced by him as I said ages ago however he's ours now so time to get behind him. Here's hoping I'm as wrong as I was when I got excited about Laudrup!

If Lukaku can just 'belt up' a bit and accept a role fighting for his place and we could somehow offload Torres we could start next season with Costa, Lukaku and Ba. I would be more than happy with that.

Serious question to those who don't want Costa, who would you suggest that is a reasonable target?

 

Suarez - He would cost about £70m and is about as scummy as a footballer can get, not to mention he won't play a game until November

 

Cavani - Would cost in excess of £50m, has been just as rubbish as Costa this World Cup and played 2 games more. Was good in an average league and has spent a year playing on the wing. Not worth the money.

 

Falcao - Cost in excess of £50m and isn't even back from an injury that's kept him out for the past 7 months. Massive risk as we don't know if he'll return the same player.

 

Benzema - Never been massively impressed with him to be honest, wouldn't be an improvement on Costa in my opinion.

 

Balotelli - Lazy, sulky, average overhyped footballer who is more trouble than he's worth

I have always said that i don't know but i would trust Mourinho's decision.
