Seriously, and I'm not trying to liken the players here, but I bet this is how Liverpool fans felt about Suarez.

He has been all we could have hoped for. The next stage is for him to deliver in the really massive games like Drogba did so often.

Yes, it's been said he's another Drogba. I think Costa a great player, but to my shame every time I see him I think of Jorge in Meet The Fokkers.

When we got linked Costa I wasn't happy didn't really want him at our club but Im glad I'm wrong and its a great feeling having a top striker.

 

I was the same, i couldn't stand the guy before he arrived.

My mate text me when Atletico played us, it was when Costa had a moment with JT saying he doesn't want him. I said it doesn't bother me Ballack and JT nearly came to blows before he joined us but I still wanted him.

I just don't get those that wanted Balotelli over him, even at the time, Balotelli has always rated himself higher than anyone ever really thought he was.

I was going to point out that he scored against Arsenal, but then I realised you were talking about big games not foregone conclusions.

When Mario declared himself the second best player in the world behind Messi at one stage I think we knew he was a lost cause.

In regards to Costa, he's been brilliant and surpassed everyone's expectations so far.
