A lot of hypocrisy in here regarding Carlo, are we forgetting we sacked him after a trophyless season despite finishing 2nd? With him winning the double before that.

and hardly any chelsea fan considers it a good decision

It's the Benitez thing that gets me.

When you sack Carlo you aim to bring someone in better equipped to win things...not some fat goatee bearded Spanish twat

It 's probably a "Twats of the world, unite" sort of thing, I have no other explanation.

Maybe Florentino wants a FSW to bring him Tapas & Sangeria at Siesta

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Benitez fall on his arse there next year...going to be hilarious...Carlo is far too classy a man for those twats

Carlo was a bit unlucky as when you go into a new season after a successful one you want to invest a bit and keep things fresh. Unfortunately some very talented older players left that summer and he got lumped with Torres so it was hard to improve. The 2 poor CL campaigns sealed it really.

wouldn't it be the bomb if this happened after playing CFC in the KO stage of the UCL? Oh man, Florentino would probably blow a gasket, since he couldn't come to terms w/ Jose & Jose would probably troll him in a post match presser

As much as Real Madrid fans now hate Jose, he is only manager they've had in last seven years that won them la Liga...of course Carlo landed the big one, although Jose had already helped break a long cycle of early exits and got them to three straight semis before Carlo took over

Many Merengues will argue that Don Carlo is a superior gaffer than Jose

Can you imagine Ronaldo, Ramos, etc being managed by Benitez? How mich respect will they give him and his methods, especially if things don't start out well?

Going from a well liked and respected manager in Carlo to Benitez who is a bit of a slimy character with reportedly, methods that don't sit too well with players. Can't imagine things going well for them.

Hasn't he just flopped at Napoli as well? Not qualifying for CL this year and out of EL? How does he get the Real job after his season with Napoli?

We had a good season but our old kings didn't Di Matteo and Carlo got sacked and now this turn in events..can't believe Benitez gets the hot-seat. Now I completely have to stop watching La Liga.

His defensive football will go down a treat at the Bernabeu

Considering the amount of goals they have conceded and the fact that they didn't beat any of the Top 4 in Spain, it might well do.

Exactly, and I'm one of them. Should have been given at least another season, ridiculous to sack him when we did.

Maybe they were even more mentally on the beach than we were - they even had their bags packed!

The way they played, I wouldn't be surprised if they had pina colada in their water bottles.
