Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

They put up a film of the bus going over Putney bridge on RAWK (I think) after the Champions League victory parade, after the players had got off and no one was around, implying that our Parade had a shabby turn out...That's how sad they are...

Mind you even their victory parade's are History these days, and likely to stay that way, as long as Brenda is in charge.  Hooray !

Do we have the biggest attended parades ever? No...am I bothered? No...it amuses me to see fans of our rival clubs keep bitching and moaning about our style of play, our fanbase...it's the chorus of the bitter and failures

I'm going to send this to Jose Enrique. It's from the Liverpool Echo 8 May 2014

Details of potential Liverpool FC victory parade revealed

The Premier League comes to an end this Sunday and plans are in place for a victory parade, should Liverpool FC win the title.

Due to the major logistics behind such an event, the City Council has released details to ensure residents and business are prepared.

If successful, the club will be formally invited to hold a victory parade in the city on Monday, May 12, starting at 5pm and expected to last for several hours. Roads along the route will be closed from 3.30pm.

The team will parade the Premier League trophy on an open top bus, with the route starting on West Derby Road, at the junction of Green Lane.

It will head towards the city centre, travelling along Islington, Hunter Street, Leeds Street, King Edward Street, The Strand, Wapping/Chaloner Street (at the junction of Sefton Street), where the route will end.

The council has offered the following advice to the hundreds of thousands of people who are expected to attend, should it go ahead:

  • Utilise the full length of the route. There will be no central focal point to the parade and the bus will not be stopping along the way.

  • Decide in advance which part of the route to wait at and arrive in plenty of time.

  • Be patient – it is impossible to predict how long it will take the team bus to travel along the route.

  • Expect long queues for public transport, due to the number of people coming in and out of the city.

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson, said: “We know many people are superstitious and don’t want to think about a victory parade until the title is in the bag, but unfortunately that isn’t an option for those involved in organising an event of this scale.

“Whether we have a parade depends on the results on Sunday, but due to the number of roads being closed and the impact this has on businesses and residents, it makes sense that we are as prepared as we can be. We need the information to be made public in order to cause as little disruption as possible.

“There is of course the safety element as well – we will undoubtedly see massive numbers of people head into the city to mark this fantastic achievement and we want people to be able to celebrate safely the success of their team.

“If you are going to watch the parade, please make sure you make use of the full length of the route, so that the team can be cheered on for the full length of the parade.

“We always want both our teams to do well in the league, and whatever the outcome, we’ll be massively proud of their achievements this season.”

that's outrageous - should I know who Trevor Bond is?

He is the second row looking at camera, reconised that face anywhere.

A lot of hypocrisy in here regarding Carlo, are we forgetting we sacked him after a trophyless season despite finishing 2nd? With him winning the double before that.

I think this is worse though they got to the semis of the CL and finished 2pts behind the leaders. We got knocked out the CL in the the quarter finals and finished something like 10-11 pts off the leaders. Yes it was still harsh but Madrid are far worse at sacking managers. They've even sacked managers the same season they've won stuff.

I agree but with that being said in the past we've shown we aren't much better ourselves, I absolutely despise Real Madrid more than any other foreign club but we should hold back on the "classless" and "scumbag" calling.

It looked hypocritical to me.

Biggest joke awards I have ever heard of...while our club is hosting our own award ceremony there is something called the facebook awards event going on, which is being broadcast on bt sport..awards where the fans get to vote...obviously arsenal fans have little to do tonight cos laughably Wenger has been named manager of the year, arsenal team of the year and Sanchez player of the year...

Fans shouldn't vote for such things...obviously going to just vote for their club regardless of reality
